From Glastonbury website in areas, Leftfield:

How far have you got with booking the bill? Can you tell us any names?

I’ve started sounding people out. Can’t give you any names but I can talk about our format. We’ll be kicking off around midday with a couple of debates running until 3pm then from 4pm we’ll be inviting three or four artists to come and collaborate with one another in a hootenanny, sitting onstage together swapping songs and playing along with each other, then from 6pm we’ll have bands.

So bands from 6pm, with only 3 on it must end before the main headliners

i agree, it would be nice to see Billy...but there's the football from 730 to 930ish as well

it looks like Squeeze have been squeezed out of the lineup again...that's a shame

go on Neil...add them as a rumour for 2011! surely third time lucky!

I suspect there will be more acts like Christy Moore and others already announced for the Festival, and there will probably be four acts on from 6pm taking turns to talk and play. Expect also a 'performance circle' during the day. Some acts doing at least 2 sets plus a possible afternoon collaboration.

oh and what has been confirmed is here:

saw King Blues at the weekend and they were superb. Will be perfect on this stage.

Just to let you know that the Get Up Stand Up comedy listed on there is not the one that's usually at Glastonbury. I'm tryig to find out who's organised it as it's taken us a long time to build a reputation with comedians and musicians both here and at Edinburgh.

Our Get Up Stand Up show is at Blazing Saddles stage 4-6pm on the Sunday and features Marcus Brigstocke, Isy Suttie and ends with The Beat.

I've not been before but I can imagine it being a bit sterile as surely most people there will have leftward political leanings. You're hardly likely to find a BNP supporter knocking about to fight their corner. Could be just a load of people agreeing with each other for an hour.

its a great 'drop in' tent when you are at a loose end. Always interesting music or debates or comedy going on. i'm glad it got away from the muddy mess and is in a new home although it might not fit in well there. I would have thought down near the JP stage would have been ideal.

All the stage times are now on Billy's website.

The first lot of acts GCWCF, Thea Gilmore and Lucky Soul all start at 6pm

The next set RATM, Frank Turner and King Blues all at 7.30pm

The headliners Carl Barat, Billy and Paul Heaton att at 9pm

I'm guessing they will each have about an hour

All the other times for the debates are on there as well.

(No clash between Stevie Wonder and Paul Heaton - phew!!)

    • Ghost did it on their last tour  and there was a whole article of people complaining about it at the Manchester gig cause somehow they werent informed and didnt know why there was a massive queue to enter the venue. At MSG everyone was given a souvenir ticket which had their seat info written on it so you knew where go to. Itll be fine.   added dates due to sign ups for presale.
    • If anyone happens to have a Sunday ticket (or two) to sell then I would be interested in buying for face value. Thanks!
    • NIN and Bjork for sure 😉
    • When are  the stage splits ??
    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
