Done loads of these for festivals the last few years

Pretty much any boiled sweet works well. cherry drops, werthers original, rhubarb & custard, blackcurrant & liquorice, cola cubes, glacier fruits, glacier mints........

Loads more, just use a bit of imagination when in the supermarket/sweet shop

Couple of tips, if in a hurry you can speed up the dissolving process by putting the vodka/sweet mixture in the dishwasher when doing a cycle as long as it's a glass bottle. You can use a sink of hot water as well if a bit nervous about that, just stick it in the fridge when dissolved and it will take half a day rather than 3

Also, the best plastic bottle to decant into are some of the lucozade 1litre bottles as they have a very wide opening so you don't have to crush the sweets up making a mess everywhere

Powerade bottles are good for the same reason and at 500ml you can do 5 different flavours and have a new one every Glasto day!

If you're not going to separate the colours and make a bottle of mixed, make sure you take the green ones out, if you do all the skittles the result is a horrible brown colour, with the green removed your voddy turns a lovely bright orange red. I make up a 70cl bottle of voddy and mix it with a 2 litre bottle of lemonade...

yum!

I love making flavoured vodkas!!

The best being Skittles (except the green, but thats purely to make a nice coloured vodka!)

Werthers orginals are great, the supermarket cheap equivilant works just as well)

Rhubarb and custard

A funny story though, for my birthday I got through the post a box of extra large haribo cola bottles, with the statement from my friend that he thought I would like a big load of coke for my birthday!!! :P I soaked them in a tub with vodka and they turned to the most amazing vodka jellies ever!! I have since tried gummie bears and they work well, just soak in a kilner jar in the fridge and keep adding vodka til they turn to jelly, I find that running them under cold tap water helps with the non- stickiness! they do tend to dissolve in the heat so beat eaten at the start of the festie! and taking a few cocktail sticks to skewer them with is great!!

I do love the sound of the foxes glacier mints, may give that a try this year.... just remember to transfer to plastic bottles, you don't want to loose them on entry to G after all that effort!!

Roughly around 10 skittles to one ounce if you want to be precise, I tend to buy a big bag and dump them in, as they dissolve quickly you can add more to taste if its not sweet enough...

I also find if you use the real cheap voddy you need more sweets, and a decent voddy is smoother and needs less, so am afriad some trial and error is involved!!!

IMO the best way to taste the rainbow!! :P
