Domenech really brings managerial incompetency to a new level, how he nearly won the world cup, I have no idea. Probably 2 consecutive tournaments out in the group stage is a disgrace. I havent a clue how he kept his job after euro 2008 when nearly every other country changed there manager.

Some of the rumours and speculation coming out of the French camp are quite shocking. Apparently:-

- Ribery refuses to play on the right wing, and prefer to play on the left so that Malouda cant get in the team (Although they are both playing tonight)

- A lot of the squad dont want Gourcuff there as apparently they are jealous of him, of his looks, of his age and his play making ability(not my words).

- Certain players wont pass to each other as they dont get on.

It sounds like the dutch euro 96 side. This france side may not be great and I think you would be hard pushed to pick 1 person who would have made the france wc98 side. However they should be competing for a qf place. Its funny before the worlc cup people were comparing maradonna to domenech in terms of coaching ability. Just look at the difference in morale between the 2 sides!

Mexico would bite your hand off for that sort fo pact. Theres no way uruguay are going to settle for a match with argentina instead of south korea or nigeria, judt for a relaxing kick around.

I disagree - but I don't expect that many people will agree with me.

I don't mind Shearer actually. He's just extremely average pundit who doesn't offer much.

What did you think of Roy Hodgson by the way? I really enjoyed listening to him. Top man.

Hodgson has been great tonight.

Shearer aside, the Beeb have the better pundits. Seedorf and Adebayor have both been decent.

Adebayor reminds me of the guys talking jive in Airplane!

      Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.

      I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.
