Fetsival Chairs

Last year while we were sitting off watching the bands, we noticed a few people around us had these chairs that looked really comfy.

They had a canopy on the top which shaded them from the sun & a comfy footrest so you could stick your feet up and relax.

The ones I'd seen were all black & they had little pockets on the side for drinks etc.

I've searched everywhere and can't find them, have any of you seen them?

I agree. Round the Pyramid particularly f**ked me off last year. It's bad enough cutting through a crowd to go for a piss/shit/pint at the best of times without tripping over these little islands of lazy bastards in f**king chairs with coolboxes, who are conveniently below eye level.

I bought 2 fold up chairs from Joe Bananas last year for £10 each. They collapsed and broke with 2 days, complete waste of money, going to get something a bit more substantial this year.

and before anyone complains, these are used at the back of the fields not right down the front.

I take a chair and I it would never occur to me to take it into the crowd and try to sit down 25m away from the stage. The acts I like to see but am not too bothered about I view from the very sides or the back of stage from the comfort of a chair, not causing problems for anybody.

Like flags, chairs would not be a problem if peeps were not so fu**ing selfish.

Last year I was at the Pyramid stage and decided I wanted to get out of the sun to a bit of shade and listen to Seasick Steve from there. Walking through the crowd came across about 8 people sitting in chairs, not facing the stage buy at right angles to the stage. had to force my way through the chairs as I could not get round them, to the look of what the f**k do you think you are doing. When I got back from GF this year I wrote to GF to see about having chairs banned in front of the stage areas. When I was waiting to see Neil Young I saw some people falling over other people who were sitting in chairs as you could not see them as it was getting dark.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
