Next announcement is at 5PM tonight and will only be revealed via the Download Festival official web site at www.downloadfestival.co.uk - this news comes from festival booker Andy Copping who has revealed the news exclusively on his 'Maverick AC' twitter account.

"There will be additional new bands added on the Download website line-up page at around 5pm tonight...fill your boots!" - Andy Copping

Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!

Suicidal Tendencies vs Aerosmith - I guess its going to be Aerosmith seeing as though I got 25 minutes of ST in 2007. Still, I'm truly gutted. They are a stellar addition to the line-up.

Good to see Skin back, Genitorturers I didn't expect at all! Would much rather have David Vincent at Download with Morbid Angel though. Don't really care for the rest but will check them out.

Never expected an announcement today, so pleasantly surprised, although the only benefit I can see so far is that Sybreed have been bumped up, so I no longer have a choice to make between them and the Cancer Bats. For now, I'll simply lament ST's inclusion as a headliner :P

Good to see they didn't splurge every single band out. I'm wondering if they can snare Trash Talk for the next announcement - I hear they put on a mental performance every time, would be perfect for some 3rd stage/4th stage anarchy.

I wish they'd at least give us a clue of where bands are playing when they're announced, Breed 77 and GOTK just got moved into dumbass slots when previous there was no way in hell you'd say they're on the Saturday :/.

More bands to check out other then that, chances are there's alot more fiddling about so maybe some clashes will fix themselves >_>. Tiger Please better not clash with Dillinger.

Overall seems to have created more havoc for me, time to check out some musics anyway.

Metal Hammer say that T-34 feature, amongst their line-up, Al Murray, The Pub Landlord. Can anyone confirm this?! If true, they could be pretty good/shit, depending on your perspective.

absolutely guttad that ST are clashing with aerosmith. Hope to check out some of them though.

T34 sounds pretty fun, shame they're clashing with steel panther, zebrahead and stp.

Hopefully theres more to be added and they get moved earlier or something haha

they were at the time, hammerfest werent lying, and now they are exclusive to download, until after it has passed - at which point they could be announced for soni.

as has been said before "exclusives" are bullshit, and its about time bookers/organisers grew up a bit. Who cares if someone is playing somewhere else? if they are good, and agree to play - let them play!

    • Geese playing for 1:20 instead of just an hour was a lovely surprise. The energy was great!
    • Oh well that's why then, I assumed it was still the same. Thanks!
    • Think this will be it...I think they are a level above trees.
