Unhappy with the line up?

First off I want to say I'm over the moon with the line up. Don't think the headliners are as good as last year (i'm a massive Neil Young fan so nothing was going to top that for me) but U2 and Stevie will be awesome.

For all the people moaning about the line up, you are blaming the wrong people!

Glastonbury does't pay huge money for bands, it can't afford to and neither would I want it too as it will change the whole concept of the festival. A lot of big bands would have been approached to play but didn't want to, its not Glastonburys fault they didn't want to play at the best festival in the world on there 40th anniversary.

If you want to blame someone blame the Bowies and the Stones of those world, I wonder if the stones would have said they aren't doing anything till next year if they were offered £2 million a piece.

Completely agree. This year will be my first EVER festival and therefore my first time at Glasto. I was expecting something special for the 40th anniversary and was therefore a little underwhelmed by the lineup so far, but the 3 headliners this year are AMAZING. To have them all play one festival is out of this world :P And besides, i would be happy to JUST see the headliners and laze around and take everything in for the rest of the time.

If the larger acts weren't such money grabbers, we could have a better lineup. But i would rather attend a festival where i can garuntee the acts want to be there for the expereience and not just for the money! :P

I know! So excited  Great way to celebrate the end of my GCSE exams. I have wanted to go for ages, but with this being the first time i could attend with an adult (the parents dont really get Glasto :P), i had to take up the chance :P

Paying for the whole thing with my own money, eqipment and all. With me not being able to get a job yet, it has meant going without alot this year. It will just serve to make my first ever festival that little bit sweeter

Roll on June :P

Einstein said every force has an equal opposite, so: "Happy with the line up? Don't give Eavis the credit! Thank the acts for coming."

Just to add a bit of balance to the thread :P

Yeah, but what i'm saying is if someone says the person responsible for Glastonbury cannot be held accountable for a poor line-up then it would be unfair to give them credit for an amazing line-up. That would be completely illogical.

I don't actually believe the people responsible for Glasto should not be held accountable.

Unhappy with the line-up? Then get a refund on your ticket, take your business elsewhere and let one of the many many others who are after a tickets have a chance.

And don't bother applying next year either.

yeah, blame bowie the lazy f**k. anybody would think that he had a bad heart and that performing might endanger his health. any way, even if it did, doesnt that lazy arse know its glasto's 40th, and even being their for his young child should be over-ridden by glasto's birthday celebrations.

blame the lazy c**t bowie!!

There's always people moaning about the line-up.

Why?

It is the best festival, and one of the great things is winding up seeing someone you didn't plan to, and probably never heard of, or someone you aren't really into, but are revealed in a new light.

If you want a ticklist of your favourite artists and nowt else, you're going to be disappointed.
