Rodrigo y Gabriela headline over Toots?!?

West Holts stage looks amazing... (especially excited Devendra Banhart finally plays)... but why on earth are R y G headlining again, over Toots?

Don't get me wrong, love 'em, and they were amazing in a small setting, but they were terrible a few years ago headlining, no presence on that stage, and little to go on, it's too quiet and intricate to work in that setting and headline. On the complete opposite side is are Toots and the Maytals, who are a party in a band... and perfect to close. Madness.

Still, don't really care, means I can see Toots and Stevie, maybe... and the Bees, Devendra, Os Mutates, Brother Ali, Dr. John, Tunng....

Just a shame that Stevie clashes with RyG. Ah well. Saw RyG in 2007, and as good as they were, it's a no brainer for me.

Oh no I agree, I just think it's a strange booking unless that was the express intention, which I doubt...

We mustn't have been at the same gig... when I saw them there, they were quiet, the crowd weren't digging it, and they had a problem for half an hour with the PA or something, despite consisting of two acoustic guitars.... brilliant at the Jazz Café earlier in the year though.

Oh it was a FAR better show. I dunno. As you say though, no reason to complain! I think as well, I head they were going to play another set in the middle of the day because someone pulled out, and then didn't... and I was not especially happy anyway as it was not my favourite Glastonbury ever... bloody rain.

I definitely think Toots should be headlining on one of the days but Rod y Gab are also worthy headliners.

I'm just gutted RyG will be clashing with Stevie. They are the 2 acts i most wanted to see. That pretty much ruined the announcement for me. I was expecting to be able to see both.
