Obviously depending on who plays Lock Up...

LCD Soundsystem - Not because "omgz not real guns n roses", I don't mind them, I just ain't really a big fan and would much prefer to see LCD Soundsystem.

Arcade Fire - No question. Don't get me wrong, I could imagine Pendulum being really good live, and I don't even like them that much... But I've been listening to Arcade Fire for years now and it would be awesome to see them.

Blink-182 - Because I liked them when I was 13 and it would be awesome to see them now.

actually I'm pretty sure Pendulum are for people who can't handle real DnB and so have to listen to this pathetic watered down version and think they're TEH COOLZ AND EDGEY1!1!

but back to the topic at hand,

AF, Blink and probably GnR simply because i'll have been down the front for Mr Homme & co. and will not be arsed about getting out that much but ideally i'll get out and be at LCD Soundsytem.

It'll be Pendulum on Friday, and I'll sit my fat arse at the Main Stage for the remainder of the festival after that. Unless something amazing turns up, I highly doubt it, pretty much all my favourite bands (Weezer, Paramore, Queens of the Stone Age, Biffy Clyro) are at the main stage.

Friday - Guns N' Roses (I CANNOT wait, such a huge fan :P)

Saturday - Pendulum (Can't get into Arcade Fire, not my music style, and I think Pendulum in a tent will just be far too epic to miss...)

Sunday - Blink-182 (But I've got a horrible feeling that they'll live up to the rumours that they're really not brilliant live... :/)

Should be damned good :P

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
