A source i know from NME says Libertines are not 100% confirmed at the moment only rumoured.

He said the papers have been getting info from an incorrect source

All bands should be graded on the following scale:

Rumoured to be rumoured

Confirmed to be rumoured

Rumoured to be confirmed

Rumoured to be confirmed to be confirmed

Confirmed to be confirmed

Well if this is the case as it seems increasingly likely that I'll be watching whoevers on the 2nd or 3rd stage, I hated them when they 1st came out an still hate there music now. I saw them at Leeds 2003 (f**king shambolic) when they played half way through the day when they were supposedly at there peak so why they're suddenly headliners I do not know, oh well each their own I suppose

regarding the end of page1 on this thread, im listened to kerrang or k! Radio, and they know jack shit. They just did a live report from the leeds cockpit and said theyve asked if libs are headlining and didnt get an answer. Kerrang radio used to be really gud at leaking fests but since 2008 its gone down the shitter

Is it not possible that they're all reporting the story because one of them started it and that original (possibly wrong) bit of info is what all these sources are basing this on?

I maintain that what NME said - "Not only will we be unveiling the headliners, special guests... etc." referred to the headliners, and the special guests who are The Libertines.

    • The Great Fete Festival (Sunday Only) Ocean Colour Scene day on Tickets For Good.
    • I was also at Ghost but seated. When they scanned my ticket's and they came up as seated they printed a small ticket with the seat number info.
    • I was standing for Ghost at O2 London last year where they put the phone in a pouch beforehand so I assume they're is a mechanism in place for people in seats.
    • Most likely not, keeping an eye on Tixel and Twickets might be the best option.
