Tuesday night parking. A chance to party?

You have to wonder how they will stop thousands of people from getting out of their cars/campervans. There's going to be a congregation of people somewhere or other, even if it's only the Q to get in through the gates, wherever the nearest access point to the gates is.

But I'm sure evrybody will behave like good citizens and remain in the car for a number of hours going slowly numb :P

thats the festival spirit! :P

if they're intending to have a quiet night in the night before glastonbury starts proper in a field full of people going to glastonbury, who don't even have to worry about getting there in the morning, and have already had a long days travelling - they probably shouldn't have introduced this idea at all.

i'm sure its not going to be mental, but what are they really expecting? if everyone tunes their radio to the same station and opens their door are they gonna kick 10,000+ people out? lol

Will arrivals from 9pm be allowed to cater/cook? Silly question maybe but folks having driven someway are going to need to eat. Or is it Pringles sandwiches all round? :P

I'm doing the same....but still trying to figure how I'll get to the site on Wednesday morning since I won't have a car.

Are there shuttles from the town?

Taxis?

Or, worst case....a long, long walk?

One of the small details I've not yet figured out....:P

Having just spoken with a festival official about this, it's VERY DEFINITELY the case that people will be required to stay in their cars.

It is a car park, it is NOT the festival and it is NOT a party.

If having to abide by that rule is not to your liking, then the only answer is to not arrive early.

The festival needs people to take this on board, otherwise the festival's licence could be at risk.

    • My Orange car park ticket turned up today. The envelope looked like some kind of junk mail offering me a loan so I nearly didn't open it!
    • There is a bunch of TBC acts on Deftones day, according to APE insta. The obvious guesses are Fiddlehead, Nothing, Dynamite and Make Way, "Outbreak" artists playing the night before. The question is more about how are they are gonna fit in on three big stages.    is
    • SURELY Reel Big Fish will be here?
    • Sam Fender, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter is a very bland set of headliners. Commercially successful and makes plenty of sense, but it wouldn't be very inspirising. That said I want a band like Green Day to headline so who am I to say what exciting is.
    • Potentially rogue shout here but could see Rebecca Black in the running for a mid-afternoon spot. I know most people still remember her for Friday but lately she’s been putting out a lot of fun pop bangers, think this could be a very fun booking!
