Suede are making their come back shortly for the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs at Royal Albert hall.

They're also playing 2 very small charity warm up gigs at London 100 club and The Ritz in Manchester.

Surely they wouldn't go through the effort of getting back together, practise etc just to play 2 small gig and one big one even if it is for charity.

A band I was suprised to not see on the rumour section, anyone think they'll be up for a come back festival?

Seriously? Hells teeth I was just listening to them on Spotify and thought naaaah they'd never be at Glastonbury :P

That would make me very, very happy indeed - hope they can still cut it. I know this is speculation but boy oh boy, I'd bounce :P

I've seen them live both with BB and without. Even though he's a great musician and a class performer, Oakes manages the BB parts in the songs with no hassle at all (he really is a cracking guitarist), and some of their output post-BB was still great. So, any incarnation of the band would be worth seeing (though having both BB and Oakes would be interesting!). Apparently Brett Anderson is open to the idea of the band playing some more shows, so it could happen!

Nope, doubt it. Having donned the old anorak and just had a quicky looky see in the programme :P it was Electric 6 on the Other Stage followed by Idlewild then Royksopp and finally Primal Scream, assuming no late line-up changes of course ... meaning that I was apparently at the 'wrong' stage and defo should have been elsewhere rather than watching David Gray whilst waiting somewhat impatiently for REM !

I managed to get tickets for the albert hall gig, its the my birthday that day so should be a great day.

I've seen them once before, they headlined v99 if I remember correctly, put on a great show. Also saw the tears, Butler and Bretts later band, its was ok but seemed to be going through the motions.

Would be a great JP headliner

I saw them at v99 too, the Chelmsford site.

A guy in front of me in the crowd proposed to his girlfriend during Saturday Night. Wonder if they're still married 11 years later.

EDIT: Also have Albert Hall tickets. Looking forward to it.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
