Preggers Meet

edit: time and place:

Thursday at 5pm (ish) at the Radical Midwives yurt

(the corner of the Healing Field Arch, large white round yurt with lots of pretty flags and pics of mums and babies).

It's come to light that a few of us will be fairly heavily pregnant for this year's festival, and several people are up for a meet at some stage, so here's the meet thread!

I'll be just short of 8 months pregnant, so probably waddling along like a weeble by then.

Perhaps a meet somewhere like the Hurly Burly in Circus? I'm thinking it needs to be somewhere where we can get some decent healthyish grub, somebody suggested somewhere up in Green Fields, but I can't remember where (this might be an issue with a group of pregnant women meeting up, of course, memory! :P).

What do you call a group of pregnant women at Glasto, do you think?

Anyway, who's going to be up le duff, how far will you be, and do you fancy a meet?

Up for it:

  • Feefeetee - 35 weeks

  • Mrs redmosquito - 7.5 months

  • sparkle_fire_fairy - 6 months

  • Buttonmoon - 5 months

  • Cathl - 7 months

  • terri_b - 5 months

  • LCR - 7.5 months

  • trippiehippie - 10 months

  • aninor - 6.5 months

  • Mrs 4AM

  • Kelly - 19 weeks

  • MissJoJo - 31 weeks

  • Jodi - 4 months

  • baptist69 - 5.5 months

  • terri_b - 5.5 months

  • mandyeggz - 21 weeks

  • debsc78 - 24 weeks

  • pu55ycat1 - 15 weeks

  • Kelly - 16 weeks

  • parky1978 - 23 weeks

Obviously being males I won't but when I saw this thread I just had the image of some lost and confused punter, off his rocker on narcotics seeing a platoon of pregnant women and getting totally freaked out not realising what was going on haha

I'd pay to see that :P

My wife will be about 7 1/2 months gone at the end of June and she's well up for a preggers meet (she won't post on here, she doesn't really like the internet for some reason).

My suggestion for a collection of pregnant women is a wobble but I know I'll be thinking about this all afternoon!!

Mrs LW was a preggo of 3 months during Glastonbury 2008.

But she's not going this year, and I'm not pregnant, but I'd like to discuss the collective term for preggos.

An Orgy of Preggos?

How about a Pilton of Preggos?

Judging by how knacked Mrs Redmosquito is at the moment how about a snooze of pregnant women or maybe a confusion of pregnant women?

I've been looking at collective nouns on here: http://www.pubquizhelp.com/animals/groups.html and my favourites are:

A litter of pregnant women (for dogs, cats etc)

An implausability of pregant women (used to describe a group of Gnu's apparently)

A mischief (used for mice)

A romp (for otters)

A peep (for chickens)

The most appropraite though seems to be the one used to describe a group of moles:

A labour

Hmmmm. Collective noun for pregnant women. Based on my experience of my wife I would say it depends on the trimester so would suggest three:

First trimester - a barf of pregnants

Second trimester - a confusion of pregnants

Third trimester - a restless of pregnants (which leads to a temper of pregnants if riled).

We've just found out that my wife is pregnant and I think she'll be roughly 5 months by then, thought it might put her off going but bless her shes still up for it and now wants to go to the preggers meet.

I cant wait to see this and get some pictures.

Think because we're in a motorhome this year its swayed her decision a bit so cant wait to take my unborn to its first glasto. :P:P:P
