Preggers Meet

Well it's official now so I can tell the world that we're expecting too! Didn't want to go public until the first scan/check which was this morning and all is well. Mrs 4AM is 13 weeks gone as of this weekend so due on 26/9/10.

Regards names, we were convinced our first was a girl and were sorted - Bethan. Turned out to be a boy and we had a shortlist of about 5 names, one of which was Lucas. As soon as I saw him I knew that was the one. Other boys names on the shortlist were (and area again) Jarvis, Elliott and Jared. I like Chester but Claire thinks it's a dogs name. She likes Micah but I don't. Help yourself if any of these inspire you.

And yes, she is also getting ditzier by the day. She called me Richie this morning. That's her brother.

Moaning, MOANING?? :P

I don't think he has spent ANY time with ANY pregnant women anywhere, LW :P If he has, he's been unfortunate in the company. I say 'he', I am of course assuming there :P

Anyway, we had our scan this morning and all is well, we have a healthy little...*drum roll*...BABY BOY in there!

for those interested the Association of Radical Midwives yurt will be at Glasto this year as suggested by my daughter (Javagirl).

Anyone is welcome for a cuppa, chill, chat ....everything you wanted to ask a midwife but never had time :-) perhaps some massage, pregnancy yoga or belly casting. Previous years belly casts might attend in the flesh so to speak for baby massage.

I think we will be in the Healing Fields but will let you know when I find out for definite.

Look forward to seeing you all there

Donna

Yeah, it's one of those old laws that have never been changed, a bit like being able to shoot a Welsh person with a bow and arrow inside the Chester city walls after midnight, or whatever it is :P

Probably comes under the public decency act now though. Still, got to be worth an ask, how often will we get that opportunity at Glasters?

I'd love to join you all if that's ok. This will be Glastonbury number 11 but pregnant Glastonbury number 1. I have no idea what to do there apart from drink cider and jump around. I won't be as pregnant as you guys - around 19 weeks

I'm prego too!!!

Been 4 times, this will be my fifth (not been since the downpour of 2007 when Glast and I fell out!!! But done 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007 now) and am worried about this because it's my partners first and I don't want to be a burdon for him!!!

Anyway, I was thinking of camping in Pennard which is where I normally camp as it is so close to everything - I know it is a little "livelier" than a lot of the sites but hopefully I'll be so tired from walking during the day I'll sleep alright!!! Also, all of my partner's friends are camping in the Dairy I think so we will be en route for them going to the main area and they can pick up up on the way! I have considered camping in the Dairy with them but think the walk to and from our tent a few times a day might be a little too much for me.

I'll be 31 weeks exactly the Wednesday the festival kicks off and we arrive, AND it is my birthday that day! 25 years old!

Definitely would be interested in meeting up, and so happy that the Radical Midwives will be there! Now I'm just hoping for no rain to keep away the heavy stick clay-mud!

Any tips for survival kits for a prego at Glast? I love my Glasto but I'm not much of a mother-earth I'm afraid - I'll be applying my false eyelashes daily as usual!!! I love a nice falafel though! :P

Oh also, had my 20 week scan last Friday - it was amazing!!! You could see every vertebrae, they zoomed into the heart (which is apparently the size of your little fingernail) and you could see all 4 chambers, the blood vessels leaving the heart, incredible!

Anyway, we're keeping it a surprise so chose not to find out the sex. Scan pic was incredible though and the best news is...BABY DOESN'T HAVE MY NOSE!!! :P

Oh, and for those who will be around the 6 month stage, that's what I am now, so I wanted to reassure you that I reckon you'll be absolutely fine.

But, get a bump band for walking about because my bump is getting heavy and I feel it more when walking around. I haven't got one myself yet, but I'm going to. Or a bump support thingy.

I had a dream last night that I had to get a helping hand to get up to the longdrops, some middle-aged bloke had to shunt me up from behind so I could get into the cubicle :P WHy there was no steps up, I don't know! And they were posh in there too, like a tardis instead of a turdis!

bump belt is like a boob tube but goes over your bump - they actually have some in asda at the minute, I think it is £4 for a pack of two - one black and one white.

Make sure you take her a chair!!! And would be nice for her to have a tent that she can stand up in for getting changed.

    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
