I'd say Doves or Ian Brown are one of the Clash Headliners announced so far. I am feeling a bit more optimistic about tommorow's announcement than I was the last one. Surprised people are looking into this thing about Blink 182, then again who expected Flaming Lips or Placebo last year? But we shall have to wait and see...

Yeah im hoping they have a set up similar to 2008s but with larger clash tent (im sure it was a lot bigger) from last year.

-main stage

-clash (the big blue one)

-soulax tent (the red one from 2008)

-sundaybest/renamed on the saturday to annie mac's wonderland like last year for the clash tent (yellow and blue one

and then the rest of the smaller tents

that would naturally put 2manydjs and soulwax as the headliners for the soulwax tent on each night.

then again jim has already said 2manydjs and leftfield will not be clashing so 2manydjs may go on a second from last slot somwhere.

How's it going Jim? I had a dream last night that I saw all of the following @ Rockness this year, can you confirm that I am psychic please? It was some dream :P

Modeselektor, Benga, Skream, Sub Focus, Steve Angello, Laidback Luke, Eric Prydz, Chemical Brothers (DJ Set), Hostage, Brodinski, The Proxy, Harvard Bass (+ any of Sound Pellegrino), Claude Von Stroke, Laurent Garnier (one of those legendary eclectic sets) and Riton (solo + with DJ Mehdi as "Carte Blanche").

    • TVOD are playing Blue Basement in London 2/9 with a complete EOTR/Psych Fest shaped hole before their next gig in Lyon on 8/9. Well received in the Big Top last year, reckon they're nailed on for a secret set in the Tipi.
    • Didn't they widen the entrance last year to enable them to increase the number of pitches or have I imagined this? Perhaps they might return under a different form of glamping?
    • It should forever be the Tipi.   Just as the news about Geese was shared on Twitter.
    • It really surprised me that Rock AM Ring made Download feel like an extremely well organised festival with good communication in comparison. If we were to ever try either of them again we would go for IM Park and stop in Nuremberg.     Agree that the long thin mainstage isn't great, but where the mainstage is makes it really hard to navigate when it is busy because of that choke point created by the food vendors, bar/lounges with a view of main and where the crowd is coming form second stage. The concrete is hard on the joints. The front standing is a pisstake and the communication from the fest about what is happening on site other than which campsites are filling up leaves a lot to be desired. Car parks being a free for all doesn't help either.   I think it really suffers being so far from anything other than small towns/villages that lack proper public transport and Koblenz being the closest town which you can can use to get public transport to the fest being 60km away.
    • Yeah its absolutely on me that isn't think Shinia Twain was an awful choice- i get that.  Im still of the paul simon, ELO kind of thoughts but I realise things change. Im still intrigued what constitutes legend though. Robert plant played and he wasn't a legend slot- to me that would have fitted. Is it a ' comedy ' ' good time ' slot now? Comedy isn't the right word - guilty pleasure or something like that?
