I think some folk on the other forum were expecting crazy things from rockness.

Think about how much The Strokes and Leftfield would have cost. For a festival with 30,000 max they are MASSIVE. To get something like Fat Boy Slim is really good as it is not a space filler. He means something to the festival of rockness.

ADD TO THAT:

The Bloody Beetroots

Vitalic

Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip

Bookashade

The Japanese Popstars

Enter Shikari

Ian Brown

Doves

Aeroplane

Its a great announcement IMO

theres no way erol won't be in the annie mac tent so i wouldnt worry about that.

I too am confused about lack of LCD Soundsystem, hope this doesnt mean they wont be at glasto too! if they were playing rockness they'd have been annonunced by now.

I think this is shaping up to be better than last year!! I was gagging to see Bloody Beetroots when they came to glasgow but luck would have it i was working. Superb that they are doing Rockness. Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip are f**king phenomenal live.

Fatboy Slim...thats all i need to say :P

Ian Brown is a bloody legend and one of the best showmen to come out of Britain in the past 20 odd years.

Vitalic are another great electro number. Aeroplane have done some outstanding remixes (paris-Friendly Fires, another likely story-Au Revoir Simone)

The Japanese Popstars, I saw last year and having not heard them before became a fan.

The Doves are a great addition to the bill and although Enter Shikari arent my cup of tea, it lets those who need a break from dancing like a spastic in one of the tents to 'mosh' i believe its called :P

Anyhoo ROCKNESS IS GONNA BE f**kING AMAZING. I think i just shit myself with excitement.

Very well put. I wish the moaners would feck right off and stop trying to rain on our parade. Dont like the line up sell your ticket. Simple as. There'll defo be more acts added but even if there's not I'm well happy. Everyone needs to quit the moaning. Rock Ness is still a minnow compared to other festivals but I think whoevers in charge has done a brilliant job getting Leftfield and The Strokes plus all the other electro stuff everyone on these forums has been asking for! At least the organisers are listening and taking a few chances. For me it's not really about big names but The Strokes are pretty massive IMO!

Superb line-up....can't fault it at all...missed Vitalic in Glasgow last year so what a bonus this is...ian brown and doves as well, absolutely cracking! Was going to wait to get my ticket but going to get it sooner rather than later now!

I think the problem is Fatboy headlining for the 3rd time in five years. I do realise he's very popular but if her plays every second year it gets a bit tedious.

I think apart from that most peoiple will be quite happy with the announcement. Still plenty of acts still to be announced! :P

    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)

    • I found the vibe a little different to recent editions.. definitely an older crowd, less queer, less Spanish.. certainly has something to do with the lack of Glastonbury this year. And I felt Saturday was a little overcrowded. I‘ve never seen Mordor as full as last night for the xx and Gorillaz. Did not enjoy that too much.
    • Not my favourite year either, despite liking the lineup more than previous years. Not sure what it was, I guess Thursday really put the brakes on things. But yeah I'll be back next year hopefully. And maybe Massive Attack will return...
    • E-mail summarizing Saturday - Primavera Sound 2026 Journal Day 3. As in previous days, it's going to be on the website soon, I think.
