Just happened to spot this as one of the recommended vids when I was checking out something else earlier. Not a particularly good vid, primarily cos it doesn't show all the gory details :P but still kinda amusing and all that

That's true I spose, had he been 6' wide as well it might have been a slightly different story mind you ! Still kinda surprised someone did it and perhaps more so that it didn't get a bit out of hand and all that tho. The more covert option of using a tree-lopper or chainsaw-on-a-stick still has to be preferred approach I think. Although I'm currently thinking flaming blow darts could possibly be even better and so much less hassle to have to lug around :P

Oooo yeah, that does look kinda good but I have a cunning plan ... quite possibly involving previously mentioned ninja stylee flaming blow darts :P

ninja%20blow%20dart.jpg

Swift, precise, effective, no one will ever know where it came from and no need for equipment recovery :P One minute you're just innocently lighting a smoke, the next it's bye-bye flag and hello just the pole blocking the view :P

... with the added bonus of using an appropriate choice of material meaning that the relevant clothing is also very good for wet weather and/or low flying liquids various situations :P

WOOOO!

LOL - so emailed the sausage people after someone (apologies i can't remember who is was) said they were tempted to ask for no sausage flag this year

Just got their reply

Hi Nixy

Don't wary, that flag is going nowhere near the festival this year!! It

caused so many problems last year when it was stolen from our stand. Anyway

Have a good festival and come and see us for a sausage in Shangri-la and

apologies for view obstruction for last year. Cheers. David

So that's cool :P no more sausage man!

Well 1 down, loads more to go but it's a start LOL

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
