Saw them in Blackpool in December but was really ill the days before and after and was in a bad way mid gig, so wasnt able to enjoy it, but the loadness of them live is ludicrous, plus the fact its one of my favourite albums in recent years.

Agree on both counts, TCV album is very average, but played by great musicians. Also dont like Hommes voice either, would've loved to see him stay on guitar and give the singing job to Ian Astbury or someone like that.

Utterly underwhelmed by TCV on record. Like most supergroups, promise much, deliver little. Well, not that I've really rated Grohl that highly. The FFs are a bit too bland for my liking.

I liked the Rain Song though, does that count?

Yep. Super little album, a real grower too.

But I can understand how people who don't like Queens wouldn't like it. Other than that small cadre of lunatics I don't see the issue. For a debut record the songs are sex on a stick!

i love all things Homme is involved in but admit the TCV album isn't as great as it perhaps should be given those involved and it just about made it into my top 10 favourite labums of last year, however they are phenomonal live and one of the tightest bands i've ever seen, lots of the songs on the album i dislike really come into their own live.

seeing them again at the royal labert hall next month and would love to see them a few more times at the festivals this summer, especially as glasto!

Yeah, but this is nothing to do with the FF Grohl, this is drumming Grohl, a completely different beast altogether. I love watching Grohl drum, he turns into a monster behind the kit
