I don't think it was demeaning. It was a bit of fun and saw thousands of people getting a Christmas dinner who would otherwise go without. Sure it wan't Desolation Row but that's Bob. He's always had a few less serious songs going all the way back to The Freewheeelin Bob Dylan.

Shame other artists who talk such a good game don't do similar things. And I pity the household that didn't shout "santa's got a big red nose" in unison this year when asked "who's got a big red cherry nose?"

I have it on exceptionally good authority that while Dylan will be touring Europe as usual this year, and it will be in the summer (when he gets back from the Far East tour), there will be no UK gigs. Shame, as he is playing several festivals this year, I held out hope.

he is a shadow of his former self....rarely you will see him with an instrument, and he will talk his way through songs....I know he was never known for his vocals, but his voice is really shot these days..one video isnt going to change my mind, search bob dylan live 2009 or 2010...it saddens me that he hasn't taken the initiative and just retired....
