Saturday headliner announced this month

Just read the artical up on efestivals saying that they are still trying to book the 3rd headliner indicating that Saturdays headliner is booked.

Well Kerrang radio this morning said that Emily had told them that the Saturday headliner will be announced before the end of January, so there you go, yes they're booked and it will be announced this month.

If this is common knowledge I apologise for starting a new thread but from reading the artical on efestivals it didn't appear it was known already.

Anyway cheers, enjoy glasto!

I'm guessing Muse will be announced as the Saturday headliner then, they're probably hoping to finalise everything, what with other festivals wanting them to headline.

Rolling Stones must suely be the one they're still working on for Sunday?

I'm really hoping it's Paul McCartney but if it's Muse then I'll be very happy for some of the people on here who seem to be mad keen on seeing them!

I might even take a little peak to see what their like if there is no one else decent to see at the time :P

Funny would have been some Rick Astley stylee video or something else equally 100% irrelevant to Muse (possibly) headlining. Not funny is something that can (and did) screw things up :P

I don't know if that stupid page would have timed out all by itself eventually but whilst it was running it hogged firefox completely as well as most of the system resources in general therefore preventing anything else from working and with no way to close the d@mn page because of the incessant prompt boxes. That's why it wasn't funny - there was no apparent way out even after several minutes other than killing the browser. In addition to that, it also wanted to reload itself next time firefox was started after being killed off. That is NOT the way my setup of firefox usually works so presumably it must have tweaked something or other to make firefox reopen the page again the next time it was run.

For anyone not d@ft enough to have clicked the linky, you got a page full of something much like this:

    • Sam Fender, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter is a very bland set of headliners. Commercially successful and makes plenty of sense, but it wouldn't be very inspirising. That said I want a band like Green Day to headline so who am I to say what exciting is.
    • Potentially rogue shout here but could see Rebecca Black in the running for a mid-afternoon spot. I know most people still remember her for Friday but lately she’s been putting out a lot of fun pop bangers, think this could be a very fun booking!
    • FFS why when there are pull outs does it always include so many of the names I had as must sees!
    • This is a pretty petulant stance.   I oppose him headlining because I love coming to Slam Dunk and he would be a very big reason why I wouldn't come. That doesn't mean they can't choose to do so, they obviously can, I would just stop coming to that version of Slam Dunk.   Another name that I'll throw out there as name I'd love is Biffy Clyro.
    • There is possibly a weak link in the ticket buying system, no matter how clever the technical controls get. I just spent 20 minutes this morning hammering the ‘Buy Tickets’ button while the web page kept telling me there weren’t enough tickets remaining to meet my request. Eventually it changed its mind and let me buy two tickets. Most likely because of failed payments in the queue ahead of me. So - just like it did in the good old F5 days - pig-headed blind persistence can sometimes pay off.   BTW, the tickets were for the Whispering Bob Harris evening in the Albert Hall on 2nd December.
