RENTON

From time to time, even I have uttered the magic words...

RENTON:

No more Swanney, I'm off the skag.

SWANNEY

Are you serious?

RENTON

Yeah. No more. I'm finished with that shite.

SWANNEY

Well, it's up to you.

RENTON

I'm going to get it right this time. Going to get it set up and get off it for good.

SWANNEY

Sure, sure. I've heard it before.

RENTON

The Sick Boy method.

They both look at Sick Boy

SWANNEY

Yeah, well, it surely worked for him.

RENTON

He's always been lacking in moral fibre.

SWANNEY

He knows a lot about Sean Connery.

RENTON

That's hardly a substitute.

Simon Cowell 'gutted' 'X Factor' lost Christmas Number One to Rage Against The Machine

Is this guy for real? :P (sorry ampersand, I had to use this smiley again)

If this is true, the ball is in Jon and Tracy's court. Bet Simon Cowell's doing this intentionally, he'll offer them a whack (life changing amount of money at least?), and hope they agree. Which, in turn, would make them look like hypocrites..

It's just been announced that Cowell and co are thinking about moving the X Factor final back a week or two next year so it doesn't clash with Christmas no.1. They fear the same sort of campaign could happen next year also.

So it has achieved a little something! :P

Saw Pet Shop Boys on Sunday night and they did a cover version of Killing In The Name.

Not really, but they changed the lyrics of there new single to say something like 'what will be Christmas number 1?...Not X Factor!'

Neil Tennant has been critical of X Factor in the past, so thought he might have a pop.

QUOTE: "...X Factor fans have been articulating their anger on their website, with comments such as, and I promise these are genuine, "If Rage are any good how come they didn't even get past the audition stage of X Factor?" Or there's "If they're an old band, how come I've never heard of them, when I know most music from Westlife to Lady Gaga?"..."

:P
