However Metallica are playing the 22nd May in Israel and the 23rd in France so it can be done.

On Bon Jovi, it won't be them as they are playing at the O2 Arena on the Saturday.

If Bob Dylan is not doing UK dates this year and it's not Stevie Wonder then not sure who would be big enough.

Does anyone think Aerosmith? They're around in June and headlined a couple of years ago pretty successfully it seems, and it's not as if HRC is against going for bands that have played HRC before....

Although I'd much prefer Dylan....

I'm not aware of any Foo plans at the moment, so he could well be. I would imagine that you will get some kind of special guest.

I had heard it was Richie Sambora who was going to come on stage with Springsteen, as he was seen watching from the side.

I'm leaning towards Wonder for the Sat night - as I can't see why they would turn down the oppertunity to have him if he's available. For me personally it's not as interesting a line-up as last year - but the PJ day looks to be one of the best Day bills of the summer, and the calibre of the other two acts is likely to provide sell-outs for both those days!

Rule out Dylan.

Word is that he'll be playing the Hop Farm Festival the week after, his only UK tour date.

I had a feeling this would happen this year, after reading the organiser saying the only headliners he ever wanted for the festival would be "Bob Dylan or Neil Young". He had Neil in 2008, now Bob in 2010.

IF he gets BOTH this year, I'm going to do something stupid and end up bankrupt.

    • although in reality he just doesn't want to upset the nimby locals.
    • The peat excuse is a pretty strong one though.
