Seen them quite a few times already my friend, this was aimed specifically for seeing them again at Glasto as I missed them in 2008 (which I now realise wasn’t such a bad thing) but you would have seen this if you’d bothered to read the full debate! Try making a little effort next time before you come back with silly sarcastic remarks eh!

I think it's a touch harsh on the Kings of Leon. They are a victim of the massive selling last album which has seen them go from a good well liked band to a band who's songs are sung on x factor. Knocked up and The Bucket are great songs

Think they need to go away for a couple of years let the hype die down and then come back

Does anyone know if there is a chance this will happen? Seen them at my 1st Glasto about 5 years back and they were brilliant then & they've had two amazing albums since then, will it happen???

You want the blunt version then, they're shit, they appeal to 14 year old girls and they have no chance of appearing at Glasto next , so if you 'REALLY REALLY REALLY' want to see them again then catch 'em at a teen fest where they seem to hang out these days.

they just finished their world tour in Nashvillelast night and their last UK apperance was at the leeds festival at which they said to the crowd that they would not be back in the UK for a very long time as they have just done two back to back world tours and are now gonna take a break and then concentrate on recording, so do not expect to see them again until at least 2011.

Again your not really understanding, seeing a band at Glasto & seeing them else where is a totally different experience, I'm now fully aware I wont be seeing them at Glasto. But thanks again for your rude unhelpfull comments. I dont think Glasto is really for rude ignorant people like you!!!

they're a victim of their own success! they were a perfectly good band until they released that shite "only by the night" last year! then they were at Reading Festival this summer (as unfortunately was I) and i went to see them having liked their older material and they had a full on paddy and shouted at the crowd then smashed up the stage and walked off without encore! it was f**kin funny to be honest! and this is my advice to them:

if you dont want kids at your gigs that have no interest in your older, more gritty, decent material and are really only standing there in silence waiting to hear you sing Sex on Fire then dont f**kin record a song like sex on fire!

Not a chance Kings of Leon will play...some of my friends from the UK saw them in Nashville last night...last dates from this album as far as im aware...would be my top headliner though.

Absolutely agreed, i like Kings of Leon a lot and i've seen them 3 times, but that performance was utterly shambolic, even worse than RHCP at Reading in 2007. He acted like the crowed owed him a response, not that he had to work to win the crowd over. Calebs shaking of the head when the crowd went mental to Sex On Fire was hilarious, if you don't want that sought of a crowd then don't write such mainstream shit.

Meh I wouldn't mind seeing them. I'd rather they went back to their roots a bit more but Only by the Night was still better than half of the complete shit that we're bombarded with daily.

I'm sure the "fans" that only know Sex on Fire and Use Somebody will soon fade away once they've found a new song to sing along too in clubs (I may be guilty of doing this now and again but alas... )

The Reading rant was pretty uncool though.

Good band but highly overated IMO. I'll be quite happy if they're not at the festival next year.
