Just a quick reminder that I am watching you lot and will not allow anything stupid being said!

We will not be making any compromises where the weathers concerned. Even Sunday showers are not welcome. Typical British attitude to start handing over our well earned sunshine and dryness cause we think were lucky to have no r*** for 4 days.

Stay positive, stay strong. Do not surrender!

Can I just say have a fantastic time everyone - it's gonna be epic in this weather and Langdale Wolf, if you are around at the Bimble Inn on Thursday at 12, i'd like to buy you a pint. Your commitment to the NRNC Alliance needs recognition!

Seeing there are poems floating about...

Langdale wolf and his merry team,

have been fighting a battle that's been unseen.

for victory against the lows out west

The boy and girls have done there best.

Their determination to win for us all

has seen them battle but never fall.

So thanks to you and the squad of many

The rains at bay and the suns aplenty.

:)

Well done all we thank you... I have shed loads to do today so must crack on!

Well done guys we've got this far but lets not rest on our laurels. Absolutley No Rain No Compromise.

As an extra offer to the rain gods I am today going to re-proof my walking boots.

Fantastic!!

<Pedantry alert - Adolf was Austrian. And a bit of a shit. Should we accept images of him towards the NRNC cause? Nazism isn't REALLY one of the main ingredients in our peaceful movement.... I suppose they should be allowed if they're as funny as this one>

Final daily update:

ECM: Dry, sunny, scorchio :)

GFS: Splash of rain Sunday afternoon, but sunny :)

GFS Ensemble: Small chance of rain on Sunday, temps about 20 deg C :)

Norwegians: Very light shower Saturday, overcast for weekend :)

Met Office: Dry and sunny, chance of thunderstorm on Sunday :)

BBC(based on Met Office, but more detailed): Dry, sunny, low chance of thunderstorm on Sunday :)

Meteo: Dry and sunny. Chance of very light rain on Sunday :)

JackOne: Dry and sunny. Chance of thunderstorm on Sunday :)

Yesterday's forecast looks nailed on now. Everyone agreeing it will be lovely and the only risk of all this nice weather is a risk of thunderstorms on Sunday, but this is only a risk and it's on Sunday, so I'm fine with that.

Put up tent in medics field last night (I'm just a friend of a medic, so no free pass, but also no hard work) and it's worth bringing a mallet. Then did the most depressing drive home to get back to work today. Oh well, not long now.

    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
