Spirited debate is what it is all about bruv.

Glad you've been diggin' some Georgie. The man was one hell of a songwriter.

"Here Today" is still the best post Beatles song by an ex-Beatle that wasnt called John.

:)

to be fair, ive 'dug' george for everever but went through the 3 stages of 'beatleness' to get there

1 - initially hooked on sir thumbsalot cos my dad played them endlessly to me and they were the 'easist' to get hooked on

2 - 'teenage to mid 20's' johns where its at cos he' a rebel and i identify with him phase

3 - actually, once ive hit middle age, upon reflection, the most talented beatle was always george, why was i messing around with those, admitadly talented, geezers

4 - really not liking where this is leading!!!

Just been browsing on trip advisor, its had some pretty good reviews. A 'must for all Beatles fans' apparently. I'm well excited, even though I'm not a massive fan, but its a surprise for someone whose biggest regret in life is that he isnt a Beatle :)

I got it a bit cheaper on laterooms than the prices on the official site too.

sorry mate!! you know the strange dichotomy i live in!!

I know bruv. No worries.

Dunno how many classes you got on the UK curriculum on what actually took place. It was a total mess.

Anway...

I'm a much bigger fan of the stupid/drunken/backward/lazy Irish jokes in fairness.

:)

I think Lennon was misguided in his song, but I don't doubt that it was a heartfelt message.

A few years back, I saw Ringo's album 'Vertical Man' in the HMV sale for £1, so I bought it. It turns out there's a reason why it was in the HMV sale for £1.

I refer you to the classic track 'Le De Da'. Here are the lyrics:

I live my life, it's only right

'Cause i can't live your life for you.

I'm satisfied, feeling high

'Cause i found out just what to do.

Oh, you can bet i never let the things i get get the best of me.

When i get blue, here's what i do and so can you,

It is no mystery when you sing.

La la de da, like que sera sera,

Whatever la de da, la de da,

All you gotta say is la de da.

You don't need to cry, (cry)

No reason why is ever good enough for me.

We can take a walk, just laugh and talk,

Whatever's going to be will be.

And when it rains i don't complain, i'm like a train, i just keep rolling on.

Sometimes you lose, you blow a fuse, you're not immune

To what's been going on, sing along.

La la de da, like que sera sera,

Whatever la de da, la de da,

All you gotta say is la de da

Oo-oo

And when you're down, it can be found, turn it around, you know the remedy.

(you always get what you always get, you always get what you always get)

Just cut some slack, don't look back 'cause it's a fact it will be okay

When you say

La la de da, like que sera sera,

Whatever la de da, la de da,

All you gotta say is la de da

Oh yeah

Just like doris day said que sera,

La la de da,

La la de da,

La la de da,

All you gotta say is la de da,

All i gotta say is , all we gotta say is,

It's the only way is la de da.

La la de da,

La la de da,

La la de da,

Come on. Ev'rybody

La la de da,

This one's for you, mate

La la de da,

It went la de da, i say

La la de da,

La la de da,

Come on, join me with this line!

La la de da,

La la de da,

La -

Poetic genius. And would you believe the backing vocalists on that track include Sir Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh and Stephen Tyler?

Looks better than The Frog Song!

That was a child's song. What you are doing there is judging AA Milne by standards you'd normally associate with Shakespeare.

Now, if you really want to dig into a f**king horrid Macca number, Mull of Kintire (sp) is the one to go for.
