Absolutely mindblowing performance and for me could go down as one of the historic performances. Im struggling to find words to describe it! What did others think?

Incredible - one of the best live performances I have ever seen. I had a shit-eating grin on my face from the opening notes of Creep - the song I'd spent most of the weekend slamming in front of my non-Radiohead fan friends. It was just an amazing performance - it's unbelievable how they can leave so many classic songs out of their set and still have the perfect setlist.

My friends who went to see La Roux were not best pleased later; apparently she was shit - whose wise words did they wish they'd listened to? :D

Great performance - wasn't the sound brilliant!

I thought it was a good mixture of crowd pleasers and some gems for the fans - Exit Music was a treat, although I don't know if it completely worked in that environment.

NME.com and Planet Sound are reporting they played a 'new' song - they did not, although Thom introduced 'Reckoner' as new (meaning it was relatively new, compared to the previous track) - how do some people get jobs eh?!

Probably too good for Reading, I regret to say, given the number of people leaving throughout the set. I often find an inverse correlation between the band quality and the crowd size at Reading, e.g. Pearl Jam, NIN, Faith No More, etc, so my only fear is that Reading will start getting more of what the majority want in future. Let's hope not.

Watched it on TV and it did look brilliant.

Some decent stuff over the weekend and BBC coverage was watchble. Of the other headliners I thought KOL were poor and going through the motions.

AM's are a decent band but not a headliner IMO and would have been a fine 2nd on the bill. Just didn't do it for me.

But ahh Radiohead......Glasto 10 please :D

Anyone share my sentiments on this...

As amazing as they were, two points stopped it from being the legendary performance people are making it to be.

1) The sound was shit all weekend. Now Radiohead being Radiohead cut around it in some respect, but it was still weedy.

2) Casual crowd. I wasn't at the front, I was about 10/15 rows up from the middle screen, and everyone was talking. I moved up about 5 songs in and it was a lot better. However, for it to hit the Glasto RH set heights it really needed an entire audience into it. Even when I was near the front more, Exit Song was ruined by some Greek lasses chatting behind me, so I had to move AGAIN.

Very good setlist though, and they did what they had to do. I do feel though like it won't win any non fans over. You need to know the material to understand their set, especially as their live sets are so interesting for the ways they manipulate the studio tracks.

glad it wasn't just me lol, if u don't want to watch radiohead fair enough, lost prophets/la roux/ deadmau5 are all on go watch one of them. Don't stand up at the front trying to talk over the music, once i moved from that c**t it was all good though. Looks like they played more hits at reading but you can't fault the band for changing it up, radiohead have and always will play whatever they want.

They were very good, but the audience was not so good. We had to move several times because of the talking! contrasted strongly with Latitude where the audience was deathly quiet for Thoms set! Still enjoyed it, sound quality is much much better on the TV recording than it was for real.

i was at leeds and was pretty disappointed to be fair.

i like their stuff since ok computer but my favourite songs are climbing up the walls, karma police and street spirit......they played them all at reading and none of them at leeds.

i would really like to see them at their own show some time. my mate saw them in paris once.....lucky sod!!!

    • I see, well even if they aren't on sale it's still not a disaster sales wise, it's not like they are struggling to sell a half capacity areana
    • Blue dot wouldn’t be a thing if Ticketmasters dynamic pricing went down as well as up, it proves that the dynamic pricing was just a scam to make more money rather than something that moved with the market supply/demand.
    • I agree that we’ll never really know up until the concert happens (and even then we still may not know) but I think promoters are having to come up with new tactics to combat ‘blue dot fever’ (already hating that phrase!) and trying to imply that concerts are selling better than they actually are / available tickets are in short supply is definitely one of them.    To add though, it is quite common at the O2 Arena for the rear blocks to not go on sale (and then remain closed for the concert and covered over to hide the empty seats). And equally common for standing to sell out first, then side/lower tier seating next and rear/upper tier seating last.    Jungle’s two concerts at the O2 are a good comparison for this - for their 1st (announced) date, all blocks are on sale and seats in all sections remain unsold, whereas for their 2nd date, the rear blocks are greyed out (more so than for Muse) and equally lots of seats remain unsold in the blue blocks. Standing for both concerts are showing as sold out.
    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
