The people on before were South Central - not much cop imo. Although at Blackpool they played from a secondary stage on the side to where the main stage, so you had some people looking at them, some people looking away, some people dancing, and the main throng of the crowd about 30m to the left, which probably didn't help!

Gig was awesome by the way, but seemed very short!

Blackpool's setlist, according to last.fm;

World's On Fire

Breathe

Omen

Poison

Warrior's Dance

Firestarter

Run With the Wolves

Voodoo People

Omen [Reprise]

Invaders Must Die

Diesel Power

Smack My Bitch Up

Take Me to the Hospital

Out of Space

Their Law

15 songs - no wonder it seemed short!

Fair enough, I've only ever seen them at festivals before - but for nigh on £40 a ticket... it just seemed over too quick. I guess that's a sign of a good gig through - leave them wanting more and all that!

Guy from my work was at the Dundee gig, sounds a bad one for the bloke but taking a run and jump ove the balcony can never be a good idea!

Was at the Edinburgh one on Saturday, thought they were brilliant as usual but very short. Sure the played a much longer set when saw them at MEN earlier this year and also Glasgow Academy last December. At ~£35 a ticket was a bit steep

A local paper is reportng that an eyewitness told them that he ran down the stairs and dived over and appeared "off his head on something".

Eyewitness also says that it was dealt with badly - left there for a bit whilst people wre dancing close to the area, carried out without a stretcher etc.

Will try and find a link in a bit.

Keef about Download 2012: "We are definitely going to bring the party and make sure it rocks. It's the only festival appearance we are doing in 2012, so we're going to make sure it's really special. We're also going to be dropping some of the new stuff that we have been doing in the studio. It's going to be fucking ferocious"

Download 2012. Metallica, The Prodigy and Black Sabbath!!

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
