Alchaol into the arena

Hi all, not been to reading before, jus wonderin how strict the security is relating to taking alchaol into the arena from the campsite. At T in the park earlier in the summer it was easy enough to sneak it in using various methods, is the security any tighter at Reading? Cheers!

Not sure on reading, but i know at leeds they had extra people dotted around just after the people who tug on your wristband, because you always see them catching the people who've got through the security and wristband people, only to go WHEY show their can, have it confiscated and then the look of a small child who just saw santa servicing his mother's chimney.

I dont think legally, or at least by council rules, that you the promoters are allowed to let you bring it in to the arena. Thats how ive always understood it anyways.

i can understand why they don't let bottles/glass in as it is dangerous if it smashes or gets thrown but cans aren't really a problem.

is it really the law? you can take drinks in to glastonbury from what i gather (having not been myself).

God knows, it was a picture of a nazi grammar cat, but it's obvioulsy changed :S

It is easier enough to smuggle one or two cans in. Not likely to get any more in though

It's getting tougher each year, but I've still got a very successful way of getting one or two in.
