this year is my last, I have been for 5 years and every year said it'll be my last. But this year was pretty pants (I did enjoy myself) but I feel I have out grown V. Having been to Glasto you cant look at another festival in the same way. Glasto looks after its punters and wants everyone to have a great time.

Glasto has no ego's its not one big explosion at topman/shop like V. the lineup is a million times better, 20 stages acorss 3 days plus 2 silent disco's and numerious after hours activities. Next year dispite the poor Euro exchange rate I'm going to fly to Germany and go to Rock AM ring. Cheaper than a ticket for V.

I seriously doubt I will be doing V next year unless they come up with some stellar line up, its just too samey all the time. And I think the festival has changed in to too much pop, its a fine festival if I could afford it, but I think in 2010 I will only be able to afford a single fest, and that will probably be Download.

It all depends on line ups Im afraid, gone are the days I have money to go to gigs and fests without thinking.

I may make a return to Summer Sundae as well perhaps, again if they have good headliners, The Streets and The Zutons this year didn't even come close IMO, no insiration in those headliners, To be honest Id love a festival the size of Summer Sundae but with Reading and V acts playing something like

FRI

Underworld

Hot Chip

Friendly Fires

SAT

Biffy Clyro

The Cribs

The Futureheads

SUN

Editors

Travis

Gomez

Shed Seven

I don't need huge names, big headliners, just good singalongs, good music, a good dance

im totally with you luckysalt but the average v fan just wants 1 or 2 blockbuster bands and then doesnt care what the rest of the lineups like.

ur quick sunday lineup looks wonderful, seeign editors on sunday in wolvo and shed seven in dec and I cant wait.

lattitude would be a good festival for you.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
