i think the point is more, why does everyone think any bit of graffiti is Banksiy there are so many good stencil, painters, street artists, whatever, why does only banksy get mentioned?

There were a load of these banksy's all the way along the railway track.

As you can see most people didn't even see them as they wandered around.

As it is Glasto's 40th this year I for one am hoping that there will be some kind of Banksy presence on site in June.

Went to the Bristol Exhibition last year and was mightily impressed - well worth the queuing time.

(I note recently in the media that this Banksy Exhibition made the top 30 worldwide art exhibitions for last year. )

Fingers crossed his art/humour comes to Worthy Farm in 2010.

banksy has been to the festival for at least the last 7 or 8 years that i know of. he used to be on the lost vagueness crew and now hangs out in the crew fields of SL and TC . i expect it to be the same this year.

about 10 years ago or so a friend of mine (Wilbs, the legend) worked with Banksy erecting a huge graffiti wall in the new dance area. it was made up of loads of sheets of 3/4 inch plywood.Banksy did all the artwork. when it was time to go Wilbs couldn't get his lorry out as it was stuck in the mud..................................................................so he pulled all the Banksy panels down and made himself a plywood road out of them and they ended up destroyed in a skip.

Wilbs............gutted !

A few years back my friend got his hand spray painted by Banksy ( well at least thats what he said !! )at some ridiculous hour of the night in Shangri la , wonder if it was him ?! and he took advantage of our drunkenness . but why would someone be carrying a spray can around at 4 in the morning ?! if it wasnt him !!
