Post Glasto ailments...

Me...

I reckon I may have DVT! Both my lower legs swelled to twice their normal size overnight (Sunday/Monday)...very worrying. Upon removing boots at car...discovered my tight knee high socks had pretty much stopped the flow of anything to my feet...which would probably explain why the pain I had been suffering for 3 days wasnt there anymore!!! But f**k me...when those boots came off a tidal wave of pain ensued! And then the first contact with concrete just buggered me sideways!

Looked and behaved like a very doddery woman at the caff we visited in Salisbury on way home! Busted, twisted back, neck twinges, 15 hours sleep in 5 days...too old for this shit folks! But will be back again next year to break myself even further!

i was really careful with sun cream, applying it liberally to my arms and shoulders everyday cos i always get burnt there. i realised this morning that my hands are bright red and theres huge red stripes of red on the inside of my arm that i must of missed! i look ridiculous!

plus, the biggest blister ever on my little toe, it killed to walk by the sunday!

Nothing too serious but I am completely sun burnt to a crisp!.

I also spent the entire festival with a stinking cold which was made worse having to wake up every morning in a boiling hot tent. Cold is actually getting worse and my voice has completely gone today.

One day of wellies on friday and a whole year's physio and orthotic wearing goes out the window!...now not only is my posterior tibial tendon gone, the the one on the other side is hugely inflamed too and what appears to be a tendon in my big toe...can barely walk! (but apparently I'm not allowed to bring a chair to glasto anymore cos it ruins other people's festival)...anyhoo, no pain no gain! twould never stop me going.

I ended up in the dentists surgery up at the main medical centre thursday morning! My cracked front crown finally broke so I had to go and have a temporary filling to fix it until I got home. I was the dentists first patient - it was pretty surreal being in a portocabin in a dentists chair in a field at glastonbury after absolutely no sleep and feeling quite spacey. Well done to Dan the dentist for fixing me up so I could smile all weekend rather than look gappy!

Sunburnt face, neck and arms. Blister on big toe from wellies, really aching feet and legs and my back is bit sore. Next year will involve better socks, comfy insoles for the wellies and some sort of inflatable mattress

Sunburn, although not as bad as previous due to finding some properly good facial sunblock I can use without coming out in a rash. My right heel is incredibly painful, although it was a bit iffy before I went so I assume it's nothing more than too much dancing - Pendulum followed by The Wonderstuff on Saturday left me barely able to hobble!!

A massive bruise on my buttock which is turning now black.

A bruise on my knee. Both bruises from when I slipped on Thursday night.

2 cuts to my ear, the cuts are tiny but there was soooo much blood.

A ickle bit of sunburn.

Aching muscles all over. Oh and I need new soles for my feet. I can just about walk!

Bring on 2010!!!!

Well,at about 7am Wednesday morning on the way down I locked my jaw when i was laughing hysterically as we got overtaken by our mate in his micra, whilst in an overtaking battle on the M4 with another one of our group (a perfectly safe and not too fast over taking battle)! My jaw ached for hours after!

Then when I arrived I stupidly lifted the huge keg we brought with us on to the sack trolley and wacked myself in the face with it! It was very sore and I was a bit shocked - was slightly concerned that I had mild concussion but seemed to recover!

Then I spent all week going a slightly darker shade of brown each day and was pretty chuffed, only to forget to apply lotion today and now be burnt as red as a lobster and it quite a bit of pained. The sunburn is also accompanied by a nasty heat rash.

Oh and final one (not really an ailment) - I stupidly didn't get round to eating yesterday before a Brother's cider and a can of lager and didn't drink any water. I then went for something a bit exotic and then felt very ill! I recovered during Tom Jones after sinking 2 litres of water in about an hour and eating an ice cream to cool me down!

Sprained my ankle quite badly Saturday night which led to me inventing a new flamingo style hopping dance which I introduced to the crowd during Prodigy. Got some weird looks.

Also have identical blisters on my little toes that will not stop weeping puss and permanent pink eye from my mate spraying my eyeball with suntan lotion.

I have a cough and a sore throat and no voice, sunburnt back, my conch piercing got knocked 50000000 times during the prodigy, painful blister, backpacker's shoulders/neck; nothing too bad at all!!
