denwyn
Have just been reading the announcment that Mr Eavis is stepping down after next years Glastonbury and handing it all over to Emily....http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/news/20090622_glastonbury.shtml What do you think?...Myself i have a fear that it will all change, and not for the better, it was her who brought a HIP HOP Headliner in last year, i hope i'm not wrong but i do feel that she will not be good for the future of Glastonbury. staggerlee
I think she'll be fine. Been doing it for a number of years now. Michael can't go on for ever and it's better than handing it over to a corporation.
dr monkey
I think it will be fine, sure we may have a few different type on headliners but if you cant find something else to do at Glasto then their is no hiope
Lordscopie
I have to say that the Park Stage has been the best introduction in a number of years.

catsoup
I think she is responsible for the park area, and thats one of my favourite areas of the festival.

Storm_NL
Let us not worry about Emily. Let us worry about the gold-diggin Nasty Nick, who has already wormed his way onto the farm, and will be heavily involved in the future festival organisation!!!! I hear he eats babies, and beats kittens...

catsoup
... It's a festival for contemporary music, and as such it should draw on all things contemporary ...
bombfrog
Emily will do a great job. Jay-z was a triumph and the park is very popular.
MCmc
Jay Z is worth over $600m, Bruce Springsteen is worth nearly $100m, you do the maths!

pedmills
Nah from interviews and from the park, you can tell she knows exactly what Glastonbury is about and will continue to make sure Glastonbury is not just another Reading. No one has anything to be worried about. Just be thankful that its Emily taking over. If she wasn't around then the festival would probably either be cancelled or be run by someone who would turn it into an average commercial major festival. And since she is young, the festival looks to have at least 10 more years in it, if not 20 or 30...

markeee
im sure it will be just fine - as said before, better than handing it to a corporation, sure she may be responsible for Jay Z, but so what? surely it's about variety. and if you really don't like the particular act on at a given time, go see one of the other 100000000 things to do whilst that act is on
