there isnt any rule set in stone about the amount of alcohol that can be brought. obvioulsy if you are pushing 3 sack trollys & pulling a huge cart all stacked with alcohol then you may well be stopped. but in the past we have pushed 1 sack truck loaded up with booze for a few of us & its been no problem.

you can leave the site when ever you want, you get given a pass out ticket that you need to hand in along with your regular ticket & show your wrist band to get back in. but if you leave the site by car, dont expect to park your car in the same spot when you return, you will most likely be directed to another carpark further from the festival site.

The bloke next to me in the queue last year had six crates of Strongbow on his sack truck, and was heading back to the car for the second load, and he got in no problem! Wonder if he drank it all...?

For anyone thinking of leaving the site to pick up more beer it's worth bearing in mind that you'll definitely need a car. Nowhere in Pilton serves takeaways and there's nowhere else within walking distance to buy beer.

I don't know how close the nearest offie is, but you might be looking at driving to Glastonbury to find a decent supermarket.
