This time in four weeks I will be...

Apologies if there is already a post like this but couldn't find one so thought I would start one. :D

All day I have been thinking 'this time in four weeks I will be...', from when I got up this morning and thought '....I'll just be leaving' to tonight when I was thinking, '...I sure as hell will be eating someting better than this microwave Lidl's curry'.

Has anyone else been doing this? What does everyone think they will be doing?

Right now, this time in 4 weeks I am gonna be there, at Glastonbury, having explored the site like I do every year with my vodka and orange, probably sitting at the campsite and thinking what to do next and quite possibly planning my movements for tomorrow. :) And I'll also be thinking that I don't need to be up at 6.30 in the morning to go into bloody work!

I am going to be thinking this right through until Monday but that's when it gets depressing and I think '...this time in 4 weeks I'll be on my way home'. Sorry ended on a depressing note. :D

Anyway, I'm excited and wanted to share some of my 4 weeks time excitement! :D

I will be, feeling very, very happy indeed, with a glass of wine in hand ( or maybe some Lemon Cider, which I have only just heard about! ), probably talking to some Random stranger, or trying to ring Lady Glastonbury ( My Daughter) to see how her day has been, or laughing with Mr Pilton about something that happened earlier.

Camp set up, the BBQ will probably have just been finished - will be off to take a long wander around the site.

This time last year we found the Rave bike up near the stone circle, then a football, and kicked it the whole way around the site spilling cider as we went.

Usually an earlyish night on the Wednesday, though...

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
