things I remember/think about when glasto mentioned:

1. Those chinese fire kite things rising from the stone circle and drifting away

2. The sound of music/laughter/drums wafting across the valley late on an evening

3. Thinking, 'christ I'm drunk/stoned/mashed'

4. Thinking 'this is the best place on earth'

5. The bogs. The horror

I'm more of a worrier:

1) How early do I have to get to Bruce to be at the front - can I time this with my friends schedules?

2) NYC Downlow

3) Will the Prodigy be there (for my girlfriend)

4) Will Kanye be there (for my sister)

5) How can I trick my friends into having a wicked time.....?

6) Groovy Movie Picture House

Not six, just a little something I wrote a while back :-

Can't wait to hug the lost friends,

In endless summer nights that never end

Share a smoke, drink...

Not even think

About tomorrow...

Meet future friends,

and Share the warmth and sunsets..

Hear the cheers and laughter,

The twinkling flares.....

The chest thumping bass.

God how I miss this place.....

The cheeky warm smiles from everyone..

For Glasto is my Home..

I need Glasto Now... God how I miss you

1/ Sandals or wellies?

2/Can I get away with my hat without my sons telling me to act my age and behave.

3/ The prospect of performing my patented ( and highly original) nutty dance.

4/ Will my slipped disc stay put for a whole week of jumping up and down.

5/Can I wangle a back stage pass for Saturday

6/Cider......cider......cider.......food......cider......cider.....food.......cide

r.....food ( a balanced diet!)

Im struggling with just 6!

Ive just got this amalgamation of everything glastonbury running through my head now!

here goes

1- the initial walk from car park to camp site with an amazing feeling of anticipation running through my bones.

2- The food, OH MY GOD! Im hungry just thinking about it all!

3- Music

4- Sitting up at the stone circle watching the world go by with a somewhat satisfied grin on my face

5- The long drops

6- Wellies!

Without looking at this thread and my mind going elsewhere on everyone else's thoughts:

Burrowhill Hot & Spicy

The flags in the Jazz Field

Tartiflette

The view from the back of the Park at night

Hanging with the CT crew

Burrowhill Hot & Spicy

    • They are going to have Blink 182 for sure, early June upto around Werchter weekend I'd say for them. Two of Sweden Rock,  Greenfield and RFP are going to miss out.
    • I've come across a few this weekend saying Deftones aren't big enough for Download.   I would recommend b&b hotel hbf the night before....cheap, comfortable and very decent. Within 10 minutes from the station and a tram stop outside to jump on...all travel is free during the festival time as well with a kombi. Lidl is very good and cheap I can't lie....€6 for a chair with carey handle, €20 with a bag too...you can work that out yourself.   If you camp, get up at 5am and go to the queue....literally don't question it as now I know.     The travel wise part is easy when you get the hang of it and I've never had an easier exit from a festival today tbh. We were camped in the turn left section but past the registration and to get water you have to come right out.   Opening up an exit through he camp at least by Friday morning when everyobe is there would be much better but you csnt walk through general if you're green and sonon.   I think the issue for me probably too is I have never taken like a mutliple litre water too, I've always done a 6 pack water from like poundland lol but you definitely need it. I had one shower that was cold lol   Talking of getting into the front, Volbeat was the only easy one, for Maiden and especially Linkin Park if you weren't in the queue for it by at least the last quarter ot Architects you had no hope....it was shocking. I do like orbit to sit down. I had to decide to sack off Within Temptation too or no chance.   Second stage biggest gripe is the faff of walking all the way round when VIP or whatever it is literally get access to each bit. I did read tbh before going people though RIP/Ring was turning too much the wrong way.   Also as a side note, caught some of Limp Bizkit last night too and they are not headliner but any distance at all. Yes they pull a crowd...they would do with LP finished but on the grand scale its a super weak booking. Stop, start for video recordings all the way through a headline set?, 1hr 15 minutes and you can't play for that time. I'm so glad they were not chosen to headline main.   On another thing, if RIP played it right they'll get GC and Avril to sub/second stage headline on the Blink day.   Toilets and cleanliness is a big plus I will say that.
    • Any of the likes of Keo, Basht. and Cardinals could all fit in here.  Although they’re the sort of bands that could fit many of the stages at Glastonbury
    • Glasto loves a come back act - how about the Rapture?
    • Yeah mentioned in the park thread but feel more Woodsies to me
