I would like to think any decision to cancel any events would be taken before the above, in order to mitigate the above risk.

if it does happen (which it won't) yes i'll be gutted along with 175,000 other people, but the thought of a few weeks off work will cheer me up a little as long as i can stock up on booze before hand. I reckon I could get a few in my back garden anyway, your all invited, but you have to register and bring photo id or me mam wont let you in.

Because they're most likely cretins who're too moronic to take two seconds to think for a second that there must already be an existing discussion about something so much in the news, and not fukkin botthering to take another two seconds to find the other thread?

'Pissed off' is actually a mild response to total idiocy of that kind -- duplicate threads clutter up the forum unnecessarily, and makes it harder for people to find the proper, central discussion.

Also, it's totally against elementary Netiquette on discussion forums not to even bother to find an existing discussion before starting a needless new one. In fact it's fukkin rude ... hence my rudeness in response.
