A couple more bands. And I will be a happy man.

Mushroomhead - Will never happen but that would be amazing

Brand New

Taking Back Sunday (Early main stage on Saturday - That would be nice to wake up to)

Ok forgive the blanks in my memory but whatever year it was MCR played I was watching the 2nd stage headliners and by the time they finished MCR were also off the main stage so it could be a clash.. or one other year after watching the 2nd stage headliners I walked to the main stage and caught a large chunk of GnR so who knows... *shrug*

I wanna see both dagnammit!

This lineup is shaping upto be crap!

im sorry but is it every band who have broke up decided we need money o ye lets reform and get easy money playing download.

Sonisphere is blowing download out of the water at the moment. Its a 2 day festival and it is way more appealling, apart from the price!

Linkin Park and Metallica shit all over Faith no more, Slipknot and Deff Leppard.

Btw is it just me who doenst think Down are any good

Stayed up until midnight for this announcement, snapped out of my state of sleepiness when Down appeared on the page - couldn't believe it! GET IN!!!

And Clutch, Black Stone Cherry, Journey, Tesla, Architects, Skin (who until the early hours were a distant childhood memory - awesome band), and Karma To Burn!

This festival keeps getting better and better and better.

Its `sad but true` but I honestly don`t think I have heard of Metallica. Its like `nothing else matters` to me to buy a `battery` for my cd player while my `memory remains` maybe its `one` of those `things that should not be`

peace `and justice for all`.

Most of the Sonisphere line-up have already done Download - at least this year Download is getting bands that, this time last year, no-one could have expected, and furthermore, most of them are actually really good! Far more varied than Sonisphere as well, the addition of top metal acts such as Down and Architects has given the festival a nice balance

I like Metallica as much as the next guy but they're in the UK every year lately for one festival or another - its not a big deal that Download don't have them, especially with the way the Download line-up is shaping up!

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
