Possible 4th headliner

I'm 19 and quite happy with the lineup so far, big fan of bruce, however i do think the 4th headliner will have to be a more moderner act, probably promoting new material.

I was wondering if any one thought this could be Green Day, they have a new album in May (would this be too close to glasto) and have said they're having a world tour later this year. I don't think these could really be said to be too 'heavy' but thats just my opinion.

Yeah, if there is a 4th it'll be moderner because that'll be betterer to access a widerer range of people. j/k

Where did this 4th headlinerer rumour come from, anyway?

From a Q article:

"Michael Eavis is determined to keep one act a secret until they go onstage, saying only that they are a “major band” and will occupy the slot below Springsteen."

It's The Smiths!!!!!!!!!

Ok probably not, but can you imagine them walking on stage???

I m hoping more than anything, they have to be a better propersition than Coldplay. and if they remain as 'TBC' on the rumours page then surely we have to consider what slot they would play.

I think between the pyramid stage and the other stage, the lineups will have a nice balance so anyone who does not want to see either bruce or say fleetwood mac on Saturday will have some good other options.

Coldplay may not really be my cup of tea either but I think that they (or another similar newer band) would give a bit more balance to the headliners. Please don't get me wrong - I really want Fleetwood Mac to play also, just not in that slot. I can see that 3-4 hours of what could arguably be called "dad rock" for the Saturday night on the Pyramid Stage may not be the best way to go.

They're rock that my Dad likes. I don't know a single Bruce or Neil fan my age, and I do know people, before the sarcasm starts.

I'm not saying 'Dad rock' is a bad thing though, I would consider The Specials 'Dad rock' too, but I'm fair fond of them.
