im after a miniature blow torch that can be attached to a six metre pole... preferably one that can be ignited by a button or cord attached to the bottom of the pole to save on gas consumuption as i expect to be using it alot... anyone know of such a device? any help would be greatly appreciated ;)

Just to be clear, I said that you may be okay, not that you'll definitely be okay. Depending on where you're standing (with a six metre pole, I'd say that the closer you are to the stage the better) there's still a good chance you'll be blocking someone's view.

I think that there are considerate ways to use flags -- like waving them around for a few songs, then bringing them down for the rest of the set -- that balances the wishes of those who like them and those who don't.

The people who wave the St George's Cross/St Piran/flag of Australia in front of stages are jerks. (I say that with confidence because a mate of mine has done it, and he's definitely a jerk ;) .)

It is Pebeo

They are the small tubs on the left/right of this example pic

You can get opaque or transparent, I have used both but the transparent is better on a lighter flag.

It also comes in a shimmer effect, good for doing any text :P

Once dry, you should iron the painted area for 10 minutes then put in a cool wash.

Think i'll see if greenfairy fancies going halves on one of the kits as i've been commissioned to do her flag this year too

So my mates had the orange Autobot / Tranformers flag last year, which I felt generally received kudos, apart from some one /index.php?showtopic=106965">thread I noticed after the event - someone had photoshopped our flag out of their particular shot! Fair enough.. :D In general I like the flags though perhaps there should be a limit on size - there was one at a gig at Jazz World (Jimmy Cliff maybe?) which seemed a bit like those ones you get covering the crowd in stadiums, a bit excessive and must have been damn tiring to wave for the whole set!

What flag are you planning to take this year?

first time glastoer this year, coming from australia. definitely going to have a flag of some description marking the tent. always thought id take one into the crowd too but if they piss people off maybe not. plus i suspect it will be a large amount of effort carrying it around!

can you get flagpoles onsite?

Wow, I never knew you were so good at photoshop Paul, that almost looks real. Now if only you could make a real flag look like that ! :O

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
