JACKONE was cautiously pointing to SOME signs of a possible upward trend in the ensembles (a sort of coalition of different sources/scenarios), which to him offered somewhat warmer and better prospects than the specific snapshots of particular output models.as reported on his latest update. Was that from yesterday evening? If so we are due another uodate later today. Ulp!

My main fear is the update to the BBC four weeker due this coming Monday (15th). That from the Monday just gone was positive, and they base the outlook on Met Office data too, but the BBC one from the 8th is now out of date. Will the positivity be maintained?

Next week, especially later on in it, will be the real deal for increasing accuracy and detail.

Latest update from the site of the Met Office itself, update from 12:54 today (Thursday 11th).

UK wide outlook up to Thursday 25th :

UK Outlook for Tuesday 16 Jun 2009 to Thursday 25 Jun 2009:

The weather remains unsettled with showers or longer periods of rain across much of the country during the week and into the first half of the weekend. It will be driest and brightest in the southeast but it will feel warm in many parts with temperatures at or above normal for the time of year. During the second half of the weekend conditions will start to become a little more settled, especially in the south east where the weather turns mainly fine and dry. The north and west will stay slightly more changeable with sunny periods but also rain at times. This pattern, with the south east being warmer and drier than the north west, continues as we move into the middle of the week.

UK wide outlook up to Thursday 25th :

Source (will be updated at least twice a day).

Hints of some possible improvments after next weekend, but that will all depend on where the division between better 'South East' weather and unsettled 'North and West' weather will lie ....

In any case lots of updates still to come.

Metcheck always seems to change so much as I always think someone is having a laugh at the office.

I have always checked the Accu Weather and it has been quite reliable in the past.

Checking it today it is looking ok for Glasto (fingers crossed)

Wait a minute... Metcheck has gone from being truly awful yesterday to being brilliant today for the first few days of the fest!! Finally they've got it right! Definitely the most reliable of all the forecasts today, don't listen to the others!!! :(
