I know this is the wrong thread, but where is The Stonbridge Bar (there's a meeting about the weather on Thursday honest) Want to check out The Baggy Mondays on Thursday, and all their songs about rain and snow.

Feels a bit like Christmas Eve, post anything anywhere, get away with murder, eat the turkey after 16 pints in the local.

Hmmmm, I see bl**dy metcheck has gone more than a bit widdly over four days now  Just not good enough I say !!! 2/10 please stay behind and do it again. You have until 0630 tomorrow to get it done properly this time. Lots more sunny bits and much less widdly bits needed or else :D And as for Mr.Webcam, if I see even the merest hint of something kinda like this:

glastonbury4.jpg

just before I leave tomorrow morning then you're going to be on the receiving end of a John Cleese stylee beating with a convenient branch and/or big stick just as soon as I get there I tells you

*********WEATHER WARNING*************

'Some torrential downpours in the south and west on Friday' - BBC 1, 10.30 tonight. Bang over Somerset - there looks to be no escape, but...keep yer fingers and toes crossed. Not so bad on Sat [touch wood everybody].

As I was saying earlier, the meteorological set up is very similar to 05 [rain from the continent hitting hot and humid air over the south of england]...so that forecast is no surprise.

Only the second Glastonbury I've missed in twelve years (baby on the way this year), but couldn't help but keep an eye on the weather thread, it's as much a tradition as the fest itself.

Only with Glastonbury could you have a 'five days of sun and not a drop of rain' forecast turn into this in a few short days.

Fear not, my expert weather eye predicts somewhere between 2008 and 2003 conditions, i.e. rain of some description but not enough to really churn the mud. Look at it this way, it looks better this year than it did last year at the same time, and that was the best weather since 03.

Best of British everyone, I reckon it's going to turn out peachy.

See, I wouldn't mind the rain so much, Cause sometimes, there's nothing more refreshing then a good summer storm, It's the mud however that's the problem.

If there's going to be reain on friday, I recon they should evactuate everyone off the site & postpone everything by 1 day, So the constant footsteps dont churn up a sea of chocolate custard.

Oh well,

8 hours to go......

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
