On 6music this morning they asked Micheal Eavis about the weather and he said it was expected to be bright and dry for the rest of the month after some rain over this weekend according to their long-range forecasts, so fingers crossed

Found this lurking on Page 6 !!!!

Anyway, the latest from the Met Office is looking better :-

Weather forecast: South West England

UK Outlook for Wednesday 10 Jun 2009 to Friday 19 Jun 2009:

Early in the period, from Wednesday to Friday, the weather is set to remain generally rather cool and unsettled, with a good deal of cloud cover and occasional rain. However, during Friday, it should tend to become brighter and warmer in the south, as any rain becomes increasingly confined to northern and northwestern parts. Over the weekend, the weather is expected to be predominantly dry, bright and progressively warmer, with the cooler, wetter weather becoming confined to Northern Ireland and the northwest of Britain. Looking beyond the weekend, the trend is for mainly fine and very warm weather, especially across southern, central and eastern Britain, although a little rain cannot be ruled out towards the northwest from time to time.

weather schmeather.

Last weekend I booked up a weekend in Chester for this weekend as the forecast was predicting anothr hot one. Just goes to show there is no gaurantees any forecasts are going to be accuarate - especially this far away.

My visit to the zoo is going to be a wash out :( (although, I'll take that as long as it stays dry in Somerset for a fair few days in about three weeks from now!)

Monday 15 June 2009 to Sunday 28 June 2009

“Warming up.”

High pressure stays with us for most of this period and should extend its influence across much of the UK resulting in mostly dry and often very sunny conditions.

Temperatures should recover from mid to late June onwards so it will feel more like summer again with some very warm days likely, particularly in the south.

Rainfall amounts could be very scanty in many areas although there is always the potential for some thundery outbreaks towards the south-east giving localised downpours.

The "canoe to get your tent" showed a forecast for sun right up to the wednesday.

It wasn't till we looked at the guardian hand out on thursday that we found out there was gonna be mental lightning.

And it was still great fun (unless you were at the bottom of the pennards!)
