Oh nooooo! Wash your mouth out with muddy water! :D

2007 nowhere near as bad as 1997....

(i) There was less sitting water

(ii) I never lost a boot in 2007

(iii) The interminable cold of 1997? Do you not remember? I spent most of that year shivering...

Also, you have to add into the equation;

(iv) My tent leaked. I woke up with cold wet feet, and a spare toilet roll the size of a beach ball.. :D

So, in summary.. 1997, much worse than 2007. :)

97 was much more like 2005 in that it was dreadful overnight on Thursday/Friday leaving the site awash - but then didn't rain again all weekend. 98 was much more like 2007, the rain was pretty much relentless all weekend. The drainage is different now tho - In 98 there was loads of standing water all weekend - but in 2007 it took on the gloopy consistency we jhave come to love and lose footwear in.

Anyway - working on the basis that recent years have taken on a similar pattern to the 97 onwards ones - sun please! (99 &2000 were just fine!)

Wooop Woooop! Joshuwarr, do I need to call in the Facepalm police, I need to report someone linking to the dodgy Metcheck page, although the mitigating circumstances are that he hasn't linked directly to the page, he's linked to a page referring to the Metcheck page? Minor caution and let him be on his way or full force of the Facepalm Law?

    • Hasn't Farage been fighting for 30 years for Britain to leave the world?
    • Lower league football has this more regularly, no? Quite often I'll see League 1/2 sides have signed a whole new 11 every summer.    Admittedly, changing the entire squad is different.
    • Oh yeah I'd forgotten about their mad scramble to get back from LA to Glastonbury. Though at least there you can blame multiple flight cancellations. I do agree though that it's fair to ask why you'd risk a similar sh*t show.
    • So who's got a good rain dance in the locker, then? Now we're in August the weather watchers can come out of hiding.    Already having flashbacks to last year (the dust cloud of doom at the crossroads by the Courtyard entrance).   Also got to be looking sketchy for the fire/fireworks on the Sunday. Might be a controversial opinion but wouldn't mind it - the fencing annoyance isn't worth the 10 mins of 'oooohhh, aaahhhh', plus the raining of hot embers last year!
