Thats my preference too. But then I think back to 2002 when there was no announcement, we walked in, set up a tent, eagerly open the programme, and then find that the bloody Stereophonics were headlining. Would have been better to have had a few weeks to build up to disappointments like that.

Seeing as 90% of Glasto tickets are already sold, will it really effect Springsteens UK ticket sales if he was announced for Glasto before his tour goes on sale?

Four, rather than three, top music acts are scheduled to headline at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, organiser Michael Eavis has announced. But he won’t confirm the identities of the famous four until later in the spring.Michael was speaking after receiving the Green World Award at this week’s Midem music business conference in Cannes.
