Please look at the FAQ on Page 1 to point 2 - Tickets!

(buy at tickets-per-post.de or eventim.de with credit card, no different tickets concerning where you can watch the bands)

If it is your first year it is a good idea to read the FAQ, though.

Thanks for the update Squig - where did you see this? I can't see it on the official site.

Also do we know who the headliners are? I'm guessing out of that lot its got to be the killers, the prodigy and maybe slipknot or marilyn...?

Shame there is no-one really big but its not a bad line-up so far...

http://twitter.com/ringrocker_com is where you can follow the development.

Limp Bizkit are headlining for sure, other than that I fear the killers and hope for Pearl Jam. Alternaheads Manson, Prodigy and Slipknot, coheads Placebo and two others is my guess.

Not too bad. Dregd is genius, Flogging Molly great, haven't seen Bloc Party yet. I am glad to have a ticket

prices will rise by 10 € on sunday.

Hi guys,me and a few friends have just booked for our first ever rock am and cant wait.i have been looking at some youtube videos and couldnt help but notice the barrier not too far back from the mainstage.

could anyone give me anymore info about this?i.e is it a 'golden circle' type thingy or just a general barrier like they have at leeds where its accessible to everyone but on a first come first serve basis?

thanks for any help

If you either would have read the FAQ on the first page or the page before, where someone else had the same question, you'd know that the answer is 'come first, first served'. However, it is possible that the Alternastage and the Main stage change positions this year. We don't know yet.

And please, never ever ever refer to the festival with Rock am (= Rock at the) again. There are tons of German festivals who start like that (Rock am Schloß, Rock am Deich, ...). If you don't want to write out the whole name, just write RaR.

Have a fun time preparing here for RaR and at RaR itself, of course!

BTW, I expect them to announce more big names. 65 000 tickets sold for both festivals already, another price increase in April, and naming the prodigy, last years' late Night Special, first, indicates this. I hope for another two Headliners.

Marylin Manson and KoRn will play the Alternastage, btw.

first come first serve. if its a huge band on that evening you will find people sitting in the pit area thru the early bands. Alternative stage is really easy to get into the pit area. I think there is a wrist band system so you can go via the exit only to the main stage pit, as we had a convo with one of the security team.

Last year there were two barriers in place, and it was quite a bitch to be fair. One barrier about halfway down the pit garage area, and the other about 20m off the stage.

Ahem lets ignore whats above..... I like a few of the bands listed, Prodigy again, prehaps bloc party will be the act before them

nice to see the prodigy on the festival circuit again, can they really headline the second stage again though (not that i'm complaining, think they'r fantastic and would be the ideal band to see after a headliner).

limp bizkit headlining? wouldn't have thought so after the stunt they pulled a few years back

I for one hope the alternative stage stays where it is, i like the ability to actually sit on the hill near the bar and listen to the early bands  Not too far away from the food places, very close to the beer... Chinese for breakfast please :D

Hey Guys,

New to the forum. Thanks for all the info on RaR. I'm really close to buying tickets but not sure whether I go to this or Pinkpop. I really like the lineup here and was wondering if any has gone to both RaR and Pinkpop and can tell me which one is 'better'. Or if anyone is planning on going to both. (Thats plan

Lets just hope the lineup appeals to the germans as much as the English. :D

I do like it when there are televised bands earlier on at the alternative stage, before the major crowds, that way i can get on TV all costumed up

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
