Mercury Nominees can also be part of a mind-expanding line-up, not just headliners of course ;)

Some of these suggestions are fantastic as well and are on my personal fantasy Blissfields line-up - you have us playing in the big leagues as they'd say in the good ol' US of A!

Headliner will be great no matter what ;)

Buenos dias amigos and amigas <_<

More Blissfields fun coming to Southampton this April. We’re going to be at the Orange Rooms on 16th April for a United Sounds of Blissfields pre-festival party.

Summer will (hopefully) feel just around the corner so it’ll be great to see you all and we have some great music for you supplied by:

Delays DJs

Cherbourg

Beans on Toast

Marcus Muktarsingh

Ally Wolf

Plus more to be added…so many sounds of the festival for you to enjoy and work off any Easter eggs from the weekend before!

For tickets,

Advance £4 NUS http://orangerooms.co.uk/events/?event=109

Advance Non NUS £5 http://orangerooms.co.uk/events/?event=110

Print out this email, pick up a flyer or take your ticket for the Orange Rooms night to Lennon’s in Southampton once we've finished as it goes on until 3am!

Much love

Little Chief and all at Blissfields

Awww I'd like to come to that but I'm at Bat For Lashes in Brighton that night.

Whilst I'm still sticking with Maps as potential mercury nominated band at Blissfields, here is another suggestion..... what about Luke Haines ? He used to be the singer in The Auteurs who nearly won the very first Mercury, narrowly pipped at the post by Suede ??? He realeased a fantastic book (Bad Vibes) earlier this year and has been playing a few live shows.....

Rule Blissfields and win a pair of tickets!

New for 2009 we will be running a fun election campaign to be President of The United States of Bliss for the weekend! A ceremonial position, the winner will have a few duties to carry out, like opening the main stage, and will not want for anything during the festival. All the information you need to stand is here!

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
    • Taxi mafia running their usual scam.
