i can still see fall out boy making an appearance, they're huge, still don't get why they were rumoured for ages and would've slotted in well below lostprophets and jimmy eat world. More likely to headline the second stage as they're marmite with the download audience, or i could see them 2nd headlining a day at reading and leeds.

band i'd f**king LOVE to see there, as they're doing hellfest the following weekend:

ENTOMBED

god that'd be amazing. got 3 of the albums but never seen them... and i love the 'influences' on their myspace page: 'Satan, Metal, Goats' :)

edit: and on a Swedish theme, after the 'strong rumour' that never happened last year, what about Meshuggah?

2nd edit: and i'm sure i say this every year, but MONSTER f**kING MAGNET PLEASE!!!

I think theres a good chance of In Flames playing again (prays!) looking at their current tour dates:

1 May 2009 20:00

Academy 2 Liverpool

2 May 2009 20:00

Roadmender Northampton

5 Jun 2009 20:00

Sweden Rock Festival Norje

9 Jul 2009 20:00

Norway Rock Festival Kvinesdal

31 Jul 2009 20:00

Wacken Open Air Festival Wacken

In Europe and doing festivals, what do people think? Second stage headliner??

Punktastic are saying that FFAF (March/April), New Found Glory (May) and Valencia (June) are all announcing separate tours...who would like to see them at download?

FFAF tour announced tomorrow :) here's hoping for a Newcastle date this time round!

Saw FFAF recently when they did the Wales tour thing, they were really sharp. I've somehow managed to see them 5 times or so :) and this was deffinitely the best id seen them.

Considering they were second headliner in 2006 under GnR, i have no idea where id place them on the bill. Second headliner on the second stage or something???

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
