It's a very interesting debate. there's the massive infrastructure around a festival this size, making it safe, everything else that goes into it basically (the charity stuff too but I'm only thinking from actual festival side). That already feeds into the ticket price and is generally a really good deal I think for what you physically get, never mind what it means to a lot of us here. I'd honestly pay a LOT more for what it gives me compared to most other things I spend money on, both things I have to and want to. But the artist should also get paid obviously. But then we'd have to expect the ticket price to vastly increase again. It'll be interesting to see where the media takes this one -

Lived in Liverpool for a long time. My best Glastos have been with my friends from Liverpool, even the year we broke down in Gloucester and had to get a taxi to site! It’s a great party city and very liberal, wecloming and open minded.a perfect fit for G. People make classist assumptions especially about scouse lads in their trackies but there’s something really bohemian about the whole place. I miss it a lot and when I hear Scousers at Glastonbury I am always delighted.
