No, not a big believer in countries to be honest..

This is why I find the patriotic Scot so amusing.

Connery is the perfect example. He bangs on and on and on about Sweaty-land whilst living in Barbados and wouldn't live in the cold damp squib of a land if his life depended on it.

Doesn't stop him banging on about how great "men in skirts, boiled inside-out sheep and heart attacks" are as culture though does it!

:P

If it's any consolation to you proud dress wearing folk, I hate English patriots too...

Cant be assed trying to quote different folk so her replies to various people.

Murray has the accent of someone from the Stirling area, he was born with it, it sounds a but dour but hey ho what can you do, least he is sticking to his roots. He is playing well, doing his nation proud by beating some of the best players in the world and is still young so can only see him getting better.

Dont care if you english dont like him, he is our hero not yours. Hate having to look at folk waving Union Jacks when Murray is playing.

Peevis - you were the fat kid at school that always got picked last in PE and made to play in goals eh? :P

What a pathetic attitude. If you haven't noticed,Scotland isn't actually a country. Neither is England. Its Great Britain, and he is from there. He 'belongs' to the whole of Britain, although it has to be said,if theres any sport where an athlete is doing it for himself, its singles tennis,so I don't see how his nationality is at all relevant.

I just like the guy cause he's a bad ass punk of a player :P

Peevis sounds like a complete bore.Sport is part of life man! We've been playing it since the dawn of time. He's right about Scottish patriotism mind.

I just took umbridge at the term legendary being used for overpaid sportsmen. That's all. Play games all you like, but at least recognise them for what they are!

so why is someone who invented the telephone and the tv a legend?

some would say that these two things have had a negative effect on human life.

I disagree vehemently. To the best of my knowledge I'm Welsh, English, and a very little bit dutch. I'm proud to be Welsh, indifferent to being English, and amused by being slightly Dutch! :D:P

But the point is, Scotland is a country.

    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
    • live music / main stage will generally end around 11pm but theres dj’s and late goings on right till 4am if you are so inclined.   Drinks are about £7.50 a pint probably and yes theres lots of mixed drinks / spirits / cocktails available to buy   wonderful festival, back for my third year in a row and 4th overall
    • If anyone sees Lakefest this weekend on any sites please post here, I’ve got alerts set. Been on TFG in recent years and not sold out yet.
