  1. Was also expecting a big disco vibe having seen them before, quite disappointed. Moved on quickly and found something more lively!
  2. Thanks for this- nabbed a pair for Field Day 🙌
  3. Erasure Fine Young Cannibals Ace of Base 5ive?? They've got some bangers!
  4. I'm 5'2" so often move quite a lot to get a decent view/ when someone fills in the viewing gap I had previously. People are generally kind enough to let my short arse through so I regularly end up pretty near the front by the end of the set.
  5. Two free tickets apparently 🤷‍♀️
  6. Yeah discretion is the order of the day! And if you do book tickets, you can't bail without a very good excuse/ giving them decent notice. I've been to loads of gigs, drag shows, family shows, theatre etc through them- for anyone London-based in particular, it's brilliant.
  7. Central Tickets also have £15 tickets for Lytham festival (Elbow, Paul Weller, Simply Red) if anyone is keen. More events added every day. Oh and I have a referral code, just realised! https://centraltickets.co.uk/invite/242FBDA0
  8. https://centraltickets.co.uk/event/UkdVc09qU1k2a3lVL0FXdE11NnVoQT09 (NB need to sign up for Central Tickets if you haven't already) The BIG Comedy Night for Your NHS Needs You! - Seated Tickets. Some of the biggest stars in comedy including Jen Brister (MC), Markus Birdman, Frankie Boyle, Jo Brand, Marcus Brigstocke, Kerry Godliman, Rosie Jones, Malinda Mukuma and poetry legend, Michael Rosen – come together for a brilliant night of entertainment to raise money for Your NHS Needs You – a campaign fighting against privatisation and for re-nationalisation. Also featuring contributions from NHS Campaigners Troxy, Tues 12th July 7.30pm. £6.50 admin fee.
  9. Another fan of liberal ibruprofen use here 🤣 Between that, a rehydration sachet for breakfast and a prophylactic omeprazole every now and then, I've never felt fresher after 5/6 days of irresponsibility. Sensible shoes, a little sit-down every now and the new SIM for a proper sleep = revelatory.
  10. Same- was on my own and managed to get pretty close to the stage coming in from the right side of tent, a few songs in. As always with Glastonbury, use the less obvious entrance and you're usually golden!
  11. Confidence Man are back with UK dates in November apparently! I was looking forward to Supergrass, thought it would be a nice opportunity for a sit-down, noddy head chilled hour or so. Didn't factor on a full-on dance party with everyone hugely into it, hit after hit, top-up-the-bloody-mary situation. Also maybe it's my age/hormones but my word those guys are aging like a fine wine 🤣 Self Esteem and Amyl were both brilliant, glad they're getting wider recognition.
  12. Thurs: Power ballad yoga, Deptford northern soul, Mel C, Leikkido, Elvana, Old Dirty Brasstards, Hercules & Love affair, Uncommon Records takeover, Kleu B2B Phibes, Cal Jader, Ghetto Kumbe Fri: Wet Leg, Confidence Man, Supergrass, Sigrid, Idles, St Etienne, Bonobo, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbot, Bonobo (DJ), Groove Armada (DJ) Sat: Junior Jungle, Skunk Anansie, Self Esteem, Metronomy, Haim, Noel Gallagher, Caribou, Paul McCartney, Four Tet, Calvin Harris, Camelphat/PatrickTopping, The Egg, Special Request takeover Sun: Warmduscher, Diana Ross, Amyl and the Sniffers, Jack White, Years & Years, PSB, Prospa, Rudimental, Elvana No wonder I was a bit tired on Monday.
  13. Came here to post the same. Just got very dusty in here!! So glad he made it for one last hurrah ♥️
  14. Somewhere between a small tent and a thick roll mat I'd say. I strapped it to the top of my rucksack and it was fine to carry like that.
  15. Think I posted the original link to these- I took the plunge too and slept well but had to top mine up every morning- think it had a slow puncture so might have to see if I can get a replacement, unless I can find/fix the leak. Would recommend though- even with the slight deflation it was still comfy and warm, and a bargain compared to others!
  16. Doubtful they would have 3 such poppy Pyramid headliners.
  17. My experience was completely the opposite- spent Wed/Thurs/Sun night in SE and had a ball every time. No big crowds, had a short queue for Temple but no issue getting in anywhere we wanted (didn't try for NYC as cba with the notoriously long wait). Maybe Fri/Sat were worse?
  18. Got a high five from Rob da Bank walking through Silver Hayes 😁
  19. Number ten for me and one of the best. Was a bit concerned about fitness after 2+ years of sedentary home-working, Covid the week before and Primavera the week before that, but managed fine with it all (alternating walking shoes/ trainers was a winner). Only low point was the horrible squash at Arcadia Friday night but I just took myself off to bed a bit earlier and was then nice and fresh for a 21-hour Saturday stint 🤣 Absolutely loved the SE corner this year - great atmosphere but way less busy than I was expecting / wider paths everywhere. 90 mins from coach to wristband was a bit of a chore in the midday heat, think I'd aim for a teatime arrival next time. Nearly jibbed off Macca for Jessie Ware but thank god I didn't for that second half! Pretty much everyone already talking about next year. We go again...
  20. Same but from south London. I'm allowing more than double the usual journey time...
  21. There are dozens of us. Dozens!
  22. He's such a casual legend 😊
