  1. Same. Have nothing but hideous clashes or hours of meh. Hope this is miles off 🤣
  2. London to Bristol (train), Bristol to Glastonbury (SeeTickets coach). Another Scouser on the farm but not actually travelling from that wondrous place ❤️
  3. PASSPORT PANIC 😳 Just had mini meltdown thinking my passport may not be valid due to non-EU rules now applying to UK passport holders, post-Brexit (of course). Mine was issued Sept '12 but valid til June next year (as I renewed early and they added the maximum extra 9 months on). Basically EU/ Schengen countries will now only let you in if your passport a) was issued less than 10 years ago and b) has at least 3 months remaining on your return date - however having checked numerous sources, those remaining < 3 months do NOT also need to be within 10 years of issue. The Govt website says some Schengen countries may not let you in unless your passport has those minimum 3 months within 10 years of the issue date- effectively saying your passport needs to have been issued less than 9 yrs, 9 months prior to your return date. This is NOT the case (thankfully, as it would have scuppered me by 1 day). It's very confusing and if you're in any doubt, you might want to check- we're flying with BA who point you towards the IATA website to check your passport validity. https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/passport-visa-health-travel-document-requirements.htm
  4. La Femme at Kentish Town Forum on Thursday. Superb!
  5. I had that (through queue, entered my presale code) at about 20 seconds past ten and was super fast clicking it all but STILL didn't get tickets. The sadness is real!
  6. Got through queue in less than 30 seconds but no tickets left. WOE. Hate hate hate the random Ticketmaster queue system, have never had any joy with it.
  7. Errmaaghhherrrrrd. I need to go to there.
  8. I did a broadcasting degree at Leeds Uni in the early 2000s and, through a series of random connections, Savile ended up being a celebrity guest on my mate's assessed 'live studio show'. He was, even at the time, deeply creepy- I remember him trailing his hands along everyone's shoulders in the TFI-style audience corridor as he made his entrance- but we never felt remotely threatened or worried. He was just the weird, super-old oddball from distant memories of 80s TV. But when it all came out that he was this horrific predator, not one of us were even slightly surprised. Can only think it must have been pretty obvious in his prime TV years- fairly terrifying how easily power and influence can keep an obvious wrong'un away from scrutiny for so long.
  9. Bluey is just excellent. Hey Duggee has lots of slightly surreal brilliance for the grownups while keeping the small ones occupied. I thought Night Garden was a load of rubbish at first but it became a hypnotic must-watch once our firstborn got old enough to be put to bed on his own. Our youngest watched Numberblocks almost continually for two years- can't complain TBH as he's doing great at maths so far 🤣 Back to adult programming- Peaky Blinders finished strongly, new Derry girls was predictably ace (Liam!!!) and I can't wait for No. 9. But favourite recent watch has to be Moon Knight on Disney +
  10. My friend might be keen on one of these, think the only NatEx options still available are hideously early! We've potentially got up to 4 Bristol returns with SeeTickets going spare if anyone needs (Monday 1030).
  11. We've got at least one SeeTickets return coach to Bristol someone in our group won't be using, you're welcome to use it. 1030 Monday morning.
  12. Ah thanks, we're actually in the tipi field onsite. First time we've gone a little bit 'posh' 🤣
  13. Yes- 2016 I got a coach from Reading on Thursday morning- details below, no idea if it'll be the same this year but fingers crossed! DEP THURS 08:30 Your Pick-Up Point is: STAND NC ON TROOPER POTTS WAY, READING STATION NORTHERN INTERCHANGE, BEHIND THE RANGE, RG1 8AL
  14. Ha, us too- hope the brekkie is decent
  15. Ahh sounds like you might have more up-to-date info from me then. First time for us going from Bristol so just going off what's been said on here!
  16. Apols if this has been covered elsewhere but are we allowed to bring visitors to our tipi, or is it 'residents only'?
  17. Does anyone know if Bristol location is the same as previous years - Anchor Rd? Also on Monday, does it return to the same location or to the bus station? We've got on onward NatEx coach to London and I'm really hoping there isn't a big trek in-between...
  18. Skunk Anansie were ELECTRIC at Brixton Academy last night. Skin at her ferocious/ sweet/ raucous best. You know what to expect when the opening track is 'Yes it's F**king Political'...

    The kids

Similar situation, mine will be 8 and 5 by the time this year's comes around but so far I've not wanted to give up the freedom. Husband 'retired from Glastonbury' in 2013 which meant I was able to go with friends in 2016/19 and I enjoyed my selfish solo fun SO MUCH. I did notice/ chat to lots of young families and although I would love to have the boys there for a few hours in the kids field (wishful thinking!) overall I'm happy we didn't try to take them very young - the mud in '16 and sun in '19 would have been a killer. We did Camp Bestival last year which went well, very different vibe, but again made me think we've been right to hold off from the big G, as even with a much smaller site and a trolley to push them in, there were several meltdowns and the usual frustrations from tired/ overstimulated children. Looking at maybe Blue Dot this year or a day festival. I'll see how I feel after this year - if they start asking and if the other half can be persuaded to join us then maaaaybe I'd consider taking them... maybe. Ideally we'd get friends with kids to go together in a couple of years and share childcare. No way in hell I'd take them on my own!
  20. Just checking them out - Fall Asleep is a great tune!
